Hi AL -- Thanks for your question. If you're looking at a website or brochure, chances are high that if a foam is indeed a memory foam, this fact will be called out specifically in the marketing materials. Memory foam is generally considered a more premium material and is therefore a selling point that is not normally left out of the marketing description. Therefore, if the description of this layer uses only the term "conforming" without mentioning that it's "memory foam," I would presume that it is not memory foam. The one exception to this is Tempur-Pedic, who exclusively refers to their proprietary formulations of memory foam as "Tempur material." I hope that's helpful.
