I do not enjoy purchasing mattresses.  The product specs are completely confusing and not comparable across retailers, the high-pressure sales tactics are tiresome, and who can tell whether you'll like a mattress by lying on it for 2 minutes in your clothes?

I came across Saatva (maybe from a Google search?).  Reviews on this fine site were favorable.  So I reviewed the Saatva website.  Seemed credible.  I actually liked that they have reduced the number of options to a small number of choices, so that was a selling point for me.  Within 15 minutes, I had chosen the size, type, and configuration of my mattress.

The service was excellent. After order confirmation, I got a call the next morning from Saatva to schedule delivery for the following day.  The bed arrived as promised.  There was a small error on the delivery -- the local delivery company didn't have an order to pick up the old bed frame.  A quick call to Saatva resolved this in 10 minutes.

The bed is very comfortable and seems high quality-- no complaints so far. Time will tell on the durability question.

Only two minor complaints:
- they haven't worked out the branding.  The mattress and foundation are made by Cannon Sleep Products (a company that does private label sleep products for other retailers).  The warrant info is from Cannon (not Saatva) so that might be confusing to consumers
- given the high level of initial service, I would have expected follow up on satisfaction following the delivery (but I didn't receive any communication from them).

After copious and rather compulsive net searching, I honed in on this company, possibly because of the professionally done and informative website.  I also liked the fact that they offered a reasonably priced spring type mattress with an organic cotton cover, that they claim uses a 'thistle' not a chemical flame retardant-hard to find in innerspring types.
Post-order, delivery was unusually fast and easy, and I received a voicemail message on the same day from EVP Ed Brians.
It seems the mattress is made of high quality materials, especially for the price point.  As a practicing chiropractor of many years, I also noticed the extra foam in the lumbar region (while lying supine)-a nice touch.
The customer service of this company is really exceptional, as well.

We have only slept on this mattress for about 3 weeks.  It seems to be all it was advertised to be.  We too had some delivery issues but quite frankly, Saatva customer service is second to none in any industry.  If, over the long run, the mattress proves to be as good as the customer service was, this will have been a great buy.  Comfort level of the mattress is very pleasing to me and my back issues.

The entire process was easy, no games, my luxury firm showed up in two days on time with a courtesy call giving me a heads up when they were 5 to 30 minutes from my home. They brought the mattress set upstairs, set it up, took the packaging and old ones away and left me with this UNBELIEVABLY comfortable new set that is indescribably beautiful.   No joke. 

Seriously.A++++++++++ in every way, every detail, start to finish.

This is the second set of mattresses I have purchased from Saatva. I was very satisfied with the King set I purchased which led to the second set of mattresses I purchased, a Queen set for another home. The actual purchase was extremely easy, kind of a 1-pick the one that works for you, 2-provide the information needed and 3-simple direct instructions to follow for delivery. They even on the first e-mail take the time to make sure of the actual size and height you will need for your environment ( I had to make a couple of changes to the first set.) Needless to say the best sleep and comfort at both places for this senior lady.

I ordered a Saatva Mattress after a lengthy search for the best. I read every review on almost every brand of mattress. I had also did comparisons on many of them. The reviews sold it for me so I went out on a limb and ordered. The customer service team was excellent. I received a personal phone call and confirmation e-mail. I was advised to measure every thing again just to make sure and it's a good thing I did. I had ordered the 14 1/2" mattress and 8" box and that would have been way too high. The 4" box with that thick mattress is still pretty high, but I like the look of a really high mattress. We also loved the fact that it is made in the USA. My husband is a Union Ironworker and USA made products mean alot to him. Every time I e-mailed questions or concerns about the order I received a response within that day. The cusomter service at Saatva is very easy to work with.  Delivery is very quick.  The mattresses are low prices for the quality of the mattress!   And there seems to be minimal "outgassing" of anything that feels toxic.  Thanks so much Saatva! I would definitely recommend this company to friends!  

Great Mattress

I have to say, I am a very skeptical person.  I also hated to take the time to go matress shopping and test matresses in stores.  After research into Saavta, I decided to try the Saavta Luxury Firm matress without hesitation to return it if I didn't like it.  I guess I have had the bed for over a month now, but since the first day, haven't paid attention to the time as we just love the bed.  Enough said about the customer service and delivery, which was all fine, but the most important is the quality and comfort of this bed.  I actually look forward to getting into this bed to relax at night!  We have a platform, so we got the 14" bed.  I've had pillowtops before, and this one is more like a cross between pillowtop and conventional.   We are extremely happy with our purchase and it is a great bed.  Not too firm, not too soft....with the 30 day $$ back, you have nothing to lose to try this bed (other than return ship cost) but I would bet you won't be returning it!

I'm the rare person who had a service issue with this company. I had to wait patiently for my mattress, but it was worth the wait. Once the principals were informed, including the manufacturer, they stepped up and took care of me, especially Ed Brians of Saatva. It feels as if 100 hands are supporting every inch of my body. I sleep incredibly well and deeply and wake up without knots or kinks. We have had it less than 2 wks, but it feels as if my neck and back pain are resolving and that was the main reason we bought this. I will continue to recommend this company and its product.

I was originally skeptical about making a mattress purchase online, however, after my experiences with Saatva…I am very happy that I took the chance. I purchased my Saatva mattress in November 2014 and felt it necessary to wait until now before posting a review. I chose to write this simply because I relied on others reviews to help me make my decision to purchase, and I hope it helps you if you are on the fence about making the plunge…so here you go.  I have had my mattress for a little over 60 days and I am in love. The purchase was very simple and easy to complete online with no hidden fees throughout the process.  About 14 days after my purchase I received a phone call from the delivery company to set up a date and a time window for delivery. The delivery company arrived when expected and was very professional.  A few days after delivery, I did have a question about the foundation and subsequently sent Saatva an email. Within 5 minutes of sending my email I received a phone call from Saatva with an answer to my question. I have NEVER had a company respond so fast to an email and to do so with a phone call….simply amazing. The Saatva representative was very responsive and nice, and she quickly answered my questions offering her direct number if anything comes up and I should have more questions. I give Saatva’s customer service an A+. This is reassuring to me that they stand behind their product and are willing to go above and beyond to make their customers feel like they made the right decision.  So now about the mattress itself. I purchased a king sized luxury firm and I gotta say that I have never had a better night’s sleep than I have had with my Saatva mattress. I wake up feeling refreshed with absolutely no back pain. I was also worried about off gassing and chemical odors that are common with new mattresses and was quite surprised when this was not the case.  I feel very comfortable recommending Saatva and feel confident that you will have no regrets with your purchase.
