This is by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. There is the perfect amount of comfort and support. I have a bad lower back and this mattress gives me the exact amount of support I need while relieving discomfort from certain pressure points. I have ever woken up feeling sore or stiff. I feel well rested and my back feels great. This bed stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It is easy to flip as well. The customer service was amazing at the Chelsea location for Spring Air. The salesperson was knowledgeable about their products ad was very helpful. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new mattress and a great nights sleep!

I received this bed as a gift. I absolutely love it. I have had back problems for the past 2 years since my car accident and every bed I've had, was not supportive leading me to either have more back pain or a horrible nights sleep. I've only had the bed for a few days but I can 110% tell you that it has made the last few nights sleep the best sleep I've had in such a long time. I have not woken up once because of any pain in my back and I have been breathing better as well. I will be recommending my friends and family to this brand mattress because of the quality and the comfort level it gives me. Thank you to my friend that gave this bed to me!!! It has been the best present yet.

We've had this bed for 9 years now with everyday use. I've slept in just about every other kind of high-end bed in luxury hotels, etc., and not one of those beds has been as refreshing and comfortable to me as the C&W. I can't wait to crawl in at night and wake up refreshed and pain free every morning. (I'm 60 years old and 260 pounds, so I've got some aches here and there and am heavy for beds.) Never any aches and pains in the mornings though...this bed couldn't be better for tired muscles and joints! Even at my weight, this bed has held up to 95% of its original solidity after 9 years. We're building a retirement home in another state and I'm already shopping for more C&W beds. I'm sorry about you other disappointed folks, but this boy is a believer!

My Back Supporter had been passed down to me from family member but she hardly ever slept on it so it was in excellent condition. I'm a side sleeper & it conformed perfectly to my body! I had it for several years & it was just as comfortable as the first day I slept on it. I eventually needed to upgrade to a king size bed after getting married but couldn't find anyone selling Spring Air in my area so I chose a Simmons Beautyrest....ugh, it was awful! Since that time I've tried memory foam & other brands & I have yet to find the comfort that I got with my Spring Air. That bed literally spoiled me to the point where I'm a bed snob! I'm going back to a Spring Air Back Supporter if I have to have it shipped cross country & will never change to another brand again.

I really don't understand why others have had such problems. This mattress will never need to be replaced. Of course it is an extra firm. There is ABSOLUTELY no evidence of usage in the 10 years we've used it for the master bdrm. I did buy it knowing it would last forever due to being individually hand tied and extra firm. I bought a plush topping which we've also used for 10 yrs. It does show some indentation where we both sleep, but not enough to have replaced it yet. I would never buy another mattress than Chatham and Wells. The sales person in San Francisco showed us what it looked like on the inside. A work of beauty. One thing I DO KNOW for a fqact is that one should never never buy tempurpedic or anything like it. Form anything will not hold up and you'll be replacing it in very short order.

This was the only mattress I have found that relieves my joint pain. I'm a side sleeper, but have hip and lower back pain. No more waking up sore! I've had this bed since 2005 and am as pleased with it as the first day I received it.
We're switching from a queen to a king bed and the mattress will be another Spring Air. Wouldn't buy any other kind after waking up with no pain.

I was surprised to read the type of problems the buyers are experiencing. i bought mine, a queen size in 1987, the name on it is" Spring Air, Unipedic 676 Coil, exclusive maker of back supporter mattress" beside sleeping, i often sit on the bed to watch tv and surf the net. recently, upon buying a new bedroom set, i intended to replace the mattress set. After 25 years of use,I inspected the mattress and it is still like new; no signs of damage and completely silent. no need to buy a new one and i am still using it. This mattress has no competition and i am recommending it to all.

For years i've had sleep problems. I even went to the doctor for it. I knew that some of the problem was probably contributed to the fact I was sleeping on a $150 mattress that was 10 years old. I've always wanted to get a new top of the line mattress, but its one of those things that I was hesitant about spending alot of money on. I had always assumed that there wouldn't be a big difference in sleep from a $200 mattress to a $2000 mattress, but boy was I wrong!

I started shopping around for mattresses in the higher price range. I looked at the sealy posturepedic mattress, and some Serta Mattresses but I ended up going with the Nature's Rest Progeny series mattress. It all came down to comfort + price. I went into a few stores and laid on some of the mattresses and WOW what a difference I could feel from my 10 year old cheap mattress! I knew right away that I needed to get a quality mattress from one of these good brands. I know now a Mattress is an investment, its an investment in your quality of life (better sleep equals healthier me). So basically I had narrowed it down to the Sealy, Serta or Natures Rest. I found there wasnt much of a difference in comfort between the 3 of them, but the Nature's rest did feel a bit better than the other two. It formed to my body nicely. And the price was in line with the Sealy and Serta. So I bought the Natures Rest mattress the next day at Cardi's Furniture. Its been a week now and let me tell you, I feel like a whole new person! If your someone that has sleep problems dont waste your time and money on the cheap stuff, i'm normally a penny pincher, but a mattress is an investment in your health and well being, and I would recommend to anyone to go with the Nature's Rest products! They make a good quality mattress and their customer service is great (I called them inquiring about warranty, product info, etc). All in all, i'm a very Happy customer!

My wife and i badly needed a new bed. Our old bed has losts it's spring and my wife was sick of bouncing around everytime i turned in my sleep. i am a large man and she is a little lady, and the nocturnal seas were too rough. We found this latex, all natural mattress from Spring Air and have been in heaven. It is made from a rubber tree plant in Indonesia, has NO springs, is allergen free and a 20 year guarantee. We are now spoiled by hour nights or heavenly sleep. I was a little skeptical about going latex, but we LOVE it.

I spent $1000 on a spring air mattress expecting it to help me sleep better and last LONGER THAN A FEW MONTHS.I've tried to have them replace it but they tell me that almost an inch sagging in the middle is normal body impression after only A FEW MONTHS.

They told me the frame was defective (missing a few screws) and that could be why there's sagging. I had the people deliver a new frame to replace the "old" one, they tell me there's nothing wrong with the frame. The drivers could see the sagging just by looking at the mattress. Mattresses are supposed to last years.

This one lasted a few months.

Customer service and quality control are nowhere to be found with this company. They shouldn't even exist.

The very worst mattress I have ever slept on. From the third night onward. In two years over a 3" sag on both sides. Was finally able to purchase new mattresses. I have never looked more forward to getting rid of something in my life.

We received our first Spring Air Queen Midnight Trance mattress and box spring on 10/23/13. 2 days later when I made the bed, I noticed there were "dips" on both sides of the mattress where my husband and I sleep and a "mound" in the center. I pulled everything off the bed and ran my hand over the depressions and it was not my imagination. I thought that the depressions would rise after an hour or two since we had just gotten up. They didn't. I took photos of the mattress and visited the salesman where we purchased it and he was very surprised. About an hour later, CS from the store called me and agreed to exchange the mattress for a new one. The new one was delivered on 11/5/13. After a couple of days, I again noticed a slight depression and as the days went by they got deeper. I did a string test and the dips are just slightly less than 1 inch (after 3 weeks). My husband and I are not large people and there is NO reason for this type of depression in a mattress after 3 weeks. Our previous mattress was 7 years old and in better condition when we got rid of it to downsize from King to Queen. Customer Service told me that since the depressions were less than 1 1/2 inches, this was not a defect. We obviously have different definitions of "defect." Today I am returning to the store to invoke the 30 day comfort return policy and will purchase a good brand this time. Unfortunately, I may have to pay a return fee and shipping on the new mattress. I intend to make sure everyone I know hears about this company, through Facebook, Twitter, My Space and every other avenue available to me.

Was Great for like the first 3 -6 months...but is now a mattress I can't sleep on...moved into the other room and sleeping on a Queen box spring I paid like $350 for. I am only 187-192 lbs. so it's not that I am a big guy putting a lot of stress on the product. Called Spring Air this morning trying to get a replacement and she told me that I purchased it from Costco during a "Road Show" and they could NOT replace it and I have to take it back to Costco for a refund. 10 year non-prorated warranty my butt!!!!!

I would stay aw far away from Spring Air as I could get!!!!!!!!!

          Official Response

By Nicholas Bates from Spring Air on December 3, 2013

          Steve,

I would first like to thank you for your Costco Purchase and please be aware all policies in place are placed their by Costco not by the road show company.

          1) Costco has a 1 year return policy on their Special Event Road Show Mattresses
          - This is not a "replacement policy" and is unheard of in the mattress industry as most retailers will only offer 30 day return policy with a "restocking fee" with a store credit

          2) Spring Air does have a 10 year non-prorated warranty and like all bedding warranties you will be required to ship the product (using a costco designated shipper) to one of Spring Air's facilities for evaluation. where it will then be repaired or replaced.

          3) The one year return policy shows how Spring Air will stand behind its product, as it is unheard of in the bedding industry to have this long of a return policy none the less a return policy at all.
          thank you for your comments

We spend 4-6 months in our RV, so this mattress has NOT been slept in for a full 4 yrs.; however, it looks like a mattress that is at least 20 yrs old. Very uncomfortable, stiff and sore in the morning. We are getting rid of this mattress, money down the drain.
