Thanks for your response. Website says they are based in Greenville SC but chamber of commerce has no record and and city has no business license for them. Said the address listed is a ups store and shopping mall. There is no history on internet either. No reviews except on the company website [ no mattress company or store]. And reviews are all for a memory foam mattress not the inner spring that I just saw on your link to park place. The website reviews are incredible. If they actually do make the product I would buy it, but don't want to get taken by an internet scam. Please visit the Christeli website and would love to get your take. Thanks

Thanks after more research you are right on the money. Their mattresses are produced exclusively for Christeli by Park Place. And the Christeli line replaces the former Luxe-Pedic. Thanks for your help.

Glad we could help. In terms of the other questions you raised, the name Christeli may just be a DBA, which might explain why you didn't find them listed in the local business licenses or chamber of commerce. Re: the address, if it's associated with a UPS store, it may simply be a PO box rather than their actual physical address. The lack of history is because the name change to Christeli is rather recent (in the last year), and even the Luxe-Pedic brand wasn't more than a few years old as far as we know.

As far as reviews go, I'm afraid that as a rule you simply can't rely on reviews from a manufacturer or retailer site. While there are many honest companies in the mattress industry, there are unfortunately some bad apples as well. We see these companies try to submit biased or fake reviews on our site all the time. Real mattress reviews are scarce (it's hard to get people to review their mattress, especially when they're happy with it). So when the company selling the products controls the reviews, the temptation is high to sway the results. Of course, not all companies do this, but unfortunately there's no good way to know which do and which don't.

Just an update! With your help and a little more sleuthing I found the company to be legit. We did end up purchasing a mattress [St. Regis model] with the help of one of the sales reps. Mike. We have been sleeping on the mattress a little over a month now and are extremely pleased. They have been everything that they promised on their website and we feel like we got an incredible deal on a GREAT mattress. Probably 60+ % off a comparable namebrand mattress.
