Thanks for your question. Different manufacturers will use this term slightly differently, and even retailers will add to the confusion with their own nomenclature in some cases. However, in general the "cushion firm" designation refers to a mattress that is "medium" in its softness level -- i.e., somewhere right in between "Firm" and "Plush". Depending on the manufacturer, another similar term that can be construed somewhat interchangeably with "Cushion Firm" would be "Luxury Firm." Still other companies might even just call it "Medium."
