Tempurpedic advice

I would appreciate your advice on the mattresses we are considering. We are two seniors about 150 lbs and are side sleepers mostly. I’m trying to decide on which would be our best choice for comfort and a painless sleep. We are considering the Tempurpedic Pro Adapt Medium hybrid, or the Pro Adapt Soft. They both feel on the firmer side, but was told they soften in a few weeks and with warmer room temperatures. Are we looking at the right mattress for the long term or should we be looking at other mattresses?
