Hi, when we bought our mattress we loved it, and continued to for years. However, in the past few months I have been waking up with hip pain, disappointing since I thought this mattress would last us 15-20 years. I can actually feel a ridge down the middle of the bed. Unfortunately I cannot find the recept and believe the original manufacturer has gone out of business? So now I'm looking for a topper to make it firm again, and wonder what the layers are of the mattress. Maybe I just need to cut off the top layer and put a topper on top of the middle layer? My mattress says ILD is 41. Which layer is that? The middle layer seems firm, the top layer is much softer. Thanks in advance for your help
