Match Quiz "Price Sliding Scale"

Please explain how "price sliding scale" within Mattress Match Quiz works. I am struggling financially so when taking the Match Quiz I moved toggle on price sliding scale to lower end (price range I was willing to pay). What would be difference in my personal results (comfort level) if I had no financial issues and therefore pushed toggle on sliding scale to highest price range?

One Answer:

Hi there -- Thanks for your question. The quiz is designed to show you the best possible matches that are within your price range.

More generally, what you get with mattresses as you move up in price is:

  1. At the lowest price points, you should still be able to find matches that at least meet your most basic needs in terms of spinal alignment and pressure relief. However, they will not have the highest quality or longevity.
  2. At the $1,000-$2,000 price point (queen-size), you should be able to find matches that meet your basic requirements and are also made with high-quality materials (which should, but not may not always, correlate with longevity).
  3. Above that price point, you should be able to find matches that not only meet your basic requirements and are made with high-quality materials, but also more closely match all of your other preferences and priorities in terms of fit, feel, and features. Think of it like a house or apartment -- the more criteria you have, the more you will tend to pay in order to find something that has everything you want. Quality of materials and craftsmanship, as well as other luxury features, will also continue to increase as you move up in price, but not on as steep a trajectory as they do below $1,000 to $2,000.

I hope that's helpful.
