I purchased this mattress in April and recently purchased a Beautyrest electric heating mattress cover for it. I’m always cold and have found with my old mattresses that a heating cover works great to heat up the bed before you get into it. However I’m not sure if I can or should use it. Memory Foam mattresses may not be able to use it but I want to know fore sure so I could return it. I hope I can use it. Anyway your response is greatly appreciated at your earliest convenience. Thank you Rosemary

Hi there -- Thanks for your question. AFAIK, there is really no hard and fast rule that would prevent you from using a heating cover on any mattress, memory foam or otherwise.

That said, true memory foam is indeed temperature sensitive, so using a heating pad on it will make your bed feel softer than it would otherwise. And of course, all else being equal, memory foam will tend to sleep a little warmer than other materials in the first place.

So, all of that is to say that the only real limitation on whether you'd use a heating pad on any given mattress is whether, from a practical standpoint, you would need to or want to.

I hope that's helpful.
