Lighter weight side sleeper who dislikes memory foam

I am searching for a new mattress and most info seems to guide lighter weight side sleepers to memory foam - I hate the feeling of memory foam both the feel, the inability to easily roll over and the heat. I generally prefer a pillow top over inner spring are there any recommended (store or online) inner springs. In my store visits I found a innersrping covered with latex that was seemed comfy and an Airloom but am not spending $6K on a mattress. I also liked the feel of the double spring layer in the Mattress Firm BeautyRest Legend plush pillow top but then I read alot of negative comments online about it. I had almost pulled the trigger on the Dreamcloud or Avacado pillow top, but started to see the negative comments for lighter weight side sleepers and since the issue with current mattress is neck and back discomfort since it doesn't cradle well enough to support my narrower waist vs hips/shoulders I got nervous. Any recommendations or reaction toward the products I considered would be greatly appreciated. Hubby could care less so that's good!

Hi there — Thanks for your question. I’m glad you didn’t pull the trigger on the Avocado, which is a great mattress but is very unlikely to be a good fit in your case.

Have you taken our match quiz yet? We created it for exactly this purpose —highlighting the best options for your particular needs and preferences, both online and in the local stores in your area. It works by asking you all of the relevant questions to fully assess your requirements (including some factors that might actually be important to you but that you would not have otherwise thought to consider), and then using an intelligent matching algorithm to search across all brands and stores to find ones that match your unique requirements. If you click your match score for a given mattress, it will even show you an explanation of the pros and cons in your case.

If you haven't already done so, you can take that quiz here:

I did take the quiz, but 2 of the reco's did not have innerspring under layers which I'm convinced from being in stores is my preference (with possibly a latex layer and a plush pillowtop). It reco'd purple 4, nest and zenhaven - none of which I can feel, but reading about them I double I will like their feel....of course I could be wrong. Purple 4 I guess could be an option, but I am very skeptical about the top gel layer. Oh well.

Hi Cmm -- Sorry for our slow reply here. FYI, I did just post a reply to the more recent question that you had posted here:

I hope that's helpful.
