How wide is a Twin XL adjustable base and/or mattress?

How wide is a Twin XL adjustable base and/or mattress? I have an existing Cal King bed frame that's exactly 6 feet wide (72 inches) and want a couple twin XL adjustable bases to fit in it. So I'm not sure if it's wide enough.

Thanks Dave

One Answer:

Hi there -- a Twin XL mattress is the same width as a normal twin (39") but is 5" longer (80" instead of 75"). You can see the details on all mattress sizes here: https://www.goodbed.com/mattress-sizes/

As such, you are correct that two Twin XL bases will not fit inside a Cal King bed frame. They also will be too short. Oftentimes though, you can use a King size bed frame with two Twin XL adjustable bases.

I hope that's helpful.
