As a related aside, your question touches on one important point that I would like to convey to others who may be reading this in the future: Please help other consumers and the environment by doing your mattress research before you buy -- not after you buy.

I realize that many stores offer a more generous return policy these days. However, taking a "Ready, Fire, Aim" approach to mattress buying is:

• extremely wasteful (a mattress cannot be resold after it's been in your home),
• harmful to other consumers (the cost of your returns gets baked into the price that future consumers will pay), and
• damaging to the environment (mattresses have a huge carbon footprint, not only in terms of their high cost to transport, but also in terms of all the petroleum-based foams that are used in making them).

Denise, please don't take any offense to my mentioning this in response to your question -- I absolutely know that you meant no harm to anyone whatsoever. Even moreso, I appreciate you using GoodBed and looking to us for information and guidance in your purchase. It is in this capacity as an expert and consumer advocate that I feel obliged to mention this here, only to raise the public consciousness about this important consideration that affects both the environment and other consumers.
