Posh + Lavish vs Pure Latex Bliss?

How does Posh + Lavish differ from Pure Latex Bliss?

4 Answers:

A Posh+Lavish mattress is designed to be less bouncy and have less motion transfer between two sleepers than most latex mattress brands based on the latex process material science. Many consumers also find Posh+Lavish mattresses more supportive for their lower back than other latex mattresses. Posh+Lavish uses all wool and all cotton for it's fire retardant solution rather than polyester that other brands may use. The Posh+Lavish mattress has a 602 gram weight cover and is one of the highest gram weights and most luxurious in the industry. The cover uses Tencel in the entire face which is designed to be more temperature regulating and more durable than all polyester covers which are common in many latex mattresses. Posh+Lavish is one of few latex mattress manufacturers that uses cotton and wool on the bottom of both their mattresses and toppers to avoid moisture and mold. Posh+Lavish not only makes all-latex mattresses but also makes a pocket sprung collection using springs with latex on top and a latex and memory foam collection which uses both latex and memory foam.

What are the Restore density ratings for each layer? thank you!

We are happy to share material types but really cannot detail specifications because it would be misleading to you. Here’s why:

Latex component manufacturers label their product with specific ILDs and densities but in reality ship products within a range of that number. Practically, that means that if we told you that your bed had ILD 19 in a layer, the reality is it could be made with latex that is 17 or even 21 even if the core is marked 19. Of course, you wouldn’t be able to feel those differences, which is the exact reason why they label them that way. We have tested material marked as high as 28 that is in reality closer to 19. In that case, we would use what is marked as 28 in a place in the mattress that is specified as 19. The latex manufacturers do not do this to mislead anyone. This happens based of either the humidity around the manufacturing process on the day it was made or the fact that they build 6” cores.

We buy “like” components from multiple vendors and they have different ILD/Density components available. When one ILD/Density of latex becomes unavailable, we buy another from another vendor. Typically that means a slight change in ILD with a corresponding change in density.

Lastly, we buy many components that are not off the shelf or available to the entire industry. Our mattress feel is a result of our unique design and unique combination of premium wool, cotton and latex.

I just ordered a Posh and Lavish memory foam topper for my allergic grand child. I was told the cover was made of tencel.. Now I see that the label says its more polyester than tencel. What is the truth?

A Posh+Lavish Latex+Memory Foam mattress or Memory Foam Topper has three layers; the top layer (the facing) is Tencel, the bottom two layers are polyester and elastan. If you would like a fabric that does not contain polyester, we would recommend a mattress or topper in our AuNaturale collection which only contains Organic Cotton.
