A mattress for sitting on all day?

Its the summer and I'm away from school, I've been spending much of my down time on my laptop sitting upright in bed, and sometimes lying on my side. Yes the center of my bed is depressed but not a lot, would it make much of a difference if I got a particular bed that's claimed to be better for that? Would an air mattress like a Sleep Number be good for that?

Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Basically, what you need for that is maximum pressure relief, as well as enhanced durability. Off the top of my head, I wouldn't necessarily recommend a single chamber air mattress (like Sleep Number offers) as my top choice for that use case.

A good option to consider would be one with a gel grid comfort layer. The main manufacturer of this style of mattress is Purple. Their grid material is very durable and resilient, but also is good for pressure relief, as evidenced by the fact that they also make seat cushions out of it.
