Beautyrest Hybrid Mattresses: Shared Features
There are 8 mattresses in Beautyrest's revamped Hybrid collection, and we want to take a moment and describe how Beautyrest uses the term 'hybrid.' We use the term "Hybrid Mattress" to indicate any bed that has springs for support along with foam comfort materials on top. Those comfort materials could be regular polyurethane foam, or latex, or memory foam, or any combination, in any quantity.
Beautyrest, however, uses the term 'hybrid' more narrowly. While almost all of Beautyrest's mattresses, from the entry-level Beautyrest collection, to the Black, Platinum and Silver collections, use pocketed coils along with some degree of comfort foams, the mattresses in the Hybrid series use the most memory foams, both in the variety of foams, and in the quantity used. They have a high degree of that slow, melting-into-the-bed sensation we associate with memory foam. All 8 of the Hybrid collection mattresses are traditional tight-cover style beds (as opposed to pillow top models).
The Beautyrest Hybrid models are divided into two 'levels.' The BRX1000 models are the the least expensive, with some cooling features. The BRX3000 mattresses are more expensive, with additional cooling features and a layer of inch-tall micro-coils as part of the Back Care 3X feature.
It's worth noting that these Beautyrest Hybrid mattresses replace last year's Platinum Hybrid and Silver Hybrid models.
Beautyrest Pocketed Coil Unit
All of the Hybrid models share the same pocketed coil support unit with 1000 coils (queen size), along with a foam edge perimeter all around the bed for added edge support.
The gauge (strength) of the steel used for the coils varies by model; that's what helps give each mattress its 'soft' or 'firm' feel.
Mattress Cover
The Beautyrest Hybrid mattresses share gray side panels, with sturdy and functional handles. Each also has a white top cover with no quilting or "puffiness" but rather a more traditional cover that's stretched tight across the bed.
Beautyrest Hybrid BRX1000
The less expensive mattresses in the Hybrid collection from Beautyrest include the BRX1000-C, which comes in just one firmness level (plush), and the BRX1000-IP, with three models. They differ in terms of cooling features and types of foam but all share the same pocketed coil unit with foam edge support.
Cooling Features
The BRX1000-C, the least expensive model at $999 queen size, comes in Plush only. It's a 13" tall mattress, and it's main cooling feature is a CoolTouch cover, with phase-change material. This is a treatment on the fabric that adds tiny wax beads to the surface; the wax feels cool at first. As your body warms, the particles warm and soften, and warm up. The idea is that phase-change material can help you stay cool while you fall asleep.
Moving up to the three models in the Beautyrest Hybrid BRX1000-IP series, you get an additional layer of the phase change treatment, so once your body warms the top material, you still have some cooling effect from the next layer below. The company calls this feature InifiniCool Plus.
All of the BRX1000 mattresses use gel memory foam; gel is a known conductor of heat, intended to help draw heat from the body.

Beautyrest Hybrid BRX3000-IM
There are significant upgrades in the four models of the BRX3000-IM series over the Beautyrest Hybrid BRX1000 mattresses, and the extras come as both comfort/support features as well as more cooling features. These beds are also a little taller than those in the BRX1000 series.
Upgraded Comfort Materials
The BRX3000 mattresses add some different memory foams, as well as a layer of micro-coils to the comfort layers of the beds.
You'll find proprietary foams like the company's Dynamic Response Memory Foam, RightTemp Memory Foam, and Comfort Response Latex in certain models, along with the AirCool memory foam and Beautyrest Gel Memory Foam used in other models in the Beautyrest Hybrid collection.
The RightTemp foam (below) is infused with graphite, intended to help dissipate heat.

The BRX3000 mattresses add a layer of 2,000 (queen size) micro-coils in between layers of memory foam. These coils are just about an inch tall, and enclosed in a fabric grid. They add additional conformance and pressure relief to the best. Beautyrest calls this system of micro-coils "BackCare 3X." You can see coils below, sandwiched between memory foam.

Cooling Features
Upgraded cooling features include InfiniCool Max; based on the phase-change cover on the BRX1000 mattresses, RightTemp foam (with the graphite) is incorporated into the cover materials.
Essentially, with the BRX3000 mattresses, almost every material has some kind of added cooling features, between gel and graphite in the foams, and phase change material in the cover.
