We currently own a queen-size Simmons BeautyRest Exceptionale Ashton Visco Super Pillowtop bed. We're looking to get a king-sized bed and have been very happy with our current bed. What product would be most similar from their current range?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Clayton - Thanks for your question. In response, if Simmons is still making a mattress like the one you have, then chances are there are many different retailers that offer a comparable model (under many different names), and only some of these comparable models will be available in your area (which you listed in your profile as Chicago, IL).

We will leave the question open in case there are some experts that would like to offer a suggestion. However, it might be helpful if you could also clarify when and where you bought your current mattress.

Simmons appears to no longer make the Exceptionale series. I am looking at the new Simmons Beautyrest Elite Range, as it seems to have their new coil system, and the coil system used in their upper ranges. That said, they have 4 Plush Pillow Top models in this range (with slightly different structures) and i was trying to determine which structure is closest to the one I have.

Here are more details on the mattress I currently have

There are 3 Series in the regular Simmons Beautyrest line..."Classic" 800 coils, "Elite" 900 coils, and "World Class" 1000 coils. None are made the way the Exceptionale was made. The best of these is the World Class. The Elite Series is a recent introduction. Being new, some retailers are making the most of your inability to shop it. The very top of the line is the World Class Fontaine. Pete

Hi Clayton, The date of manufacture will be on the white label, sewn into one of the seams at the back of the mattress. The Exceptionale is unique, in that it uses two short coils atop one another, in lieu of one longer coil. Go to the Simmons website and enter your zip code where it prompts you to find a local retailer. As you call around, you'll be asking for an "Exceptionale", because of that unique coil design. They will be harder to come by than a standard single coil Beautyrest. Pete

FYI, you can also search for local Simmons retailers right here on GoodBed.
