Hi Susan -- Thanks for your question. Based on the information you provided, I am thinking that perhaps latex or something with latex-like properties might be a good match for you. These materials would have much of the pressure-relieving benefits of memory foam but are quick-responding (rather than slow-responding, like memory foam), so won't have that molasses feeling that you described. That said, have you tried taking our quiz? It is a very powerful tool that will help you define your unique needs and preferences more comprehensively and will ultimately show you options (both online and in nearby stores) that best match these criteria. If you haven't already done so, you can take that quiz here: https://www.goodbed.com/mattress-finder/ I hope that's helpful.

Thank you for your reply. I took the quiz, but it didn't know anything about hospital foam, and I couldn't figure out how to tell it about the "molasses" feeling. So your personal, knowledgeable reply was very helpful in showing me which way to go in my mattress search. Thanks again! My pleasure Susan! Thank you for letting us know that was helpful. FYI, in terms of what you call "molasses" feeling, the term we use for that in the quiz and in your results is "memory" feel. Here is the question in the quiz that gets at this:
I hope that helps. |
