Hi there -- Thanks for your question. As with any manufactured product, it's common for there to be some variances. For a queen-size mattress to be 58-59" wide (instead of 60") wouldn't surprise me very much, however 3" sounds like a lot of variance to me. Is it possible that someone else might measure the width differently than you are? If not, then I would definitely suggest letting your retailer know about it. Either way, please report back here on who the retailer is and what is their response.
