Does anyone know how the Simmons Beautyrest Black Margaret Plush Pillow Top mattress is for people suffering from joint/bone pain?

A great choice. The Pillow Top is a very soft comfort level and is easy on your body. I also recommend giving softer memory foam mattresses a try if you have not yet. If you don't like the memory foam feel and have tried it already, then don't revisit that option.

For someone with joint or bone pain, I would recommend foam over a pocket coil mattress. Depending on how you sleep, try memory foam but better yet, latex foam. Memory foam, even with gel infused into it, does run hotter than other types of foam. Latex, because it is more natural, will cradle your body without causing pressure point but support you far better. If you are not keen on all foam, then try Vi-Spring. They invented the pocket coil and have been around since 1901. This is the only really natural coil mattress so it's more breathable. Because of the construction, the bed supports without causing pain. Bonus: it is a two sided mattress!!
