Hi Walter, thank you for your question. We do not use chemical fire retardants on our mattresses. We use a non-toxic flame retardant sock, which chars rapidly and forms a carbon barrier against fire. Is the foam safe? See our FAQ for answers: http://endysleep.com/faq-set/2015/2/18/is-the-foam-safe

It is a polyurethane mattress Polyurethane is petro chemical. I have no idea what they use for FR but I am very confident if a safe chemical free bed is what you ware looking for this one is not it. |
