Hi Mary, Visco foam is made from 61 chemicals...some toxic. Latex is made from the rubber tree.

Hello Mary -- No, according to our records this mattress does not contain any latex, neither natural latex (from the rubber tree) nor synthetic latex. It does contain pocket coils (also known as Marshall coils). The "natural" materials it contains are in the form of "bio-based foam." With bio-based foam, a portion (eg, 10-25%) of the petroleum used to make the foam is replaced with natural materials like soy. Here are the pertinent details we have on the Seabrook Visco Boxtop:
