I'm really hoping you can help answer a question for me. I used to work in a furniture store and sold mattresses regularly. I remember a client once telling me a story about steam cleaning their mattress, but it was on an older bed. I have a Serta iComfort and I'm curious if it is safe to steam clean it, or if that will damage the memory foam? Despite using a mattress protector the whole time I've owned it, over the years it has developed a slight odor from night sweats that I want to get rid of.

Absolutely not! Water and heat and memory foam don't mix.

Zip off the cover and clean it. Shouldn't be a problem doing that. Just be sure it's dry befor putting it back on.
