Dormeo is a foam mattress and has the same general foundation requirements of any foam mattress. You should ideally have a solid foundation underneath the mattress. If you currently have a slatted base or rails with slats, you should support the mattress with a solid foundation, Bunkie board, or plywood works well too. Hope this helps!!
