It's a spring bed. From what I can see it is a good spring bed, but like most spring manufacturers, they look for gimmicks. In this case they use what they are calling a "joey" coil. It is a coil in coil design. That would make the bed harder, and is probably why it is costly. And AH Beard beds are licensed out of Australia, which isn't bad, but wouldn't a US company be better for support and service? Hope that helps... Sleep Well!
