I used to sell the HealthSmart bed when they first came out. It was a failure because we had a lot of problems with the casing shrinking. I recommend you use a mattress pad because it can easily be taken off and washed.

Hi Johan -- Unfortunately we haven't been able to find much information about this product either. It is an older product from Simmons, first introduced in 2004. Is this a new mattress you are buying? It is not something that Simmons talks about much any more, although it is still mentioned on certain sites like Wal-Mart. The main idea behind HealthSmart is a removable (and washable) topper layer that zips on and off. This topper contains a semi-impervious layer as well as wicking fibers and fabric protector. What is not clear to us is whether HealthSmart is really it's own line, or whether it's simply a feature that is/was available as an add-on for various Simmons models. Hopefully one of the experts can help clarify this further. |
