Can the Sealy Posturepedic Hope Ltd Plush Eurotop be bent in half to fit up a tight staircase without damage to the mattress?

Absolutely not. There is a border rod encompassing the entire mattress that will bend if you attempt to fold the mattress in half. That will void your warranty and damage your mattress. |
Bend in half, no. You'll likely need a smaller size. We have tied mattresses up in a U shape in the past but they are foam encased and do not have that border wire the above posters mentioned. If you bend that border wire too far, it will not come back or lay flat anymore. |
There are some mattresses that do not have this border rod and can be bent. Sometimes you can feel it around the edge at the top and bottom sides of the mattress. |
Don't do it! It will cause the mattress to fail and you will be out looking to replace it. May I suggest an organic mattress with a zipper casing and 6 (3") layers of all natural latex rubber that you can take out to easily move it into small places? |
