Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Is this a current mattress that you ordered or one that you purchased a while back? If the former, it's possible that some retailer is recycling this name, but the original version of the Spring Blossom mattress was released about 10 years ago. As such, as an older Sealy model, that mattress was most certainly designed to be used with a foundation that helps to absorb some of the weight. Some newer mattresses are designed to work equally well on a platform or other type of base. If yours is a new model, then it's not part of Sealy's national line-up, so I'm afraid we don't have any additional details about it.
