Can I use the Posturepedic Midnight Breeze Pillow Top on a platform bed?

Will the Sealy Posturepedic Midnight Breeze Pillow Top mattress be comfortable on a platform bed (in a queen size)?

Hello,

Yes, but you have to qualify your platform bed first. You will need to make sure there are plenty of slats, no more than 2-3" apart at the most. So 10-12 slats is best, the more the merrier! Some platform beds are made with a sheet of plywood or a solid base and that works well too. You will also need legs underneath the middle or through out underneath the bed. The support legs will help long term so the mattress doesn't sink in the middle.

If you only have 4-5 slats, then you will need a box spring. Regardless of slats, center support is key to long term durability.

Yes, Just as long as your platform bed has enough slats and they should be 2-3" apart at the most!

Pillowtops lose their shape and comfort quickly...regardless of boxspring or platform bed.
