Summary: Qube and IntelliQube Mattresses
Qube is both a new mattress company and an entirely new mattress concept. Instead of using flat sheets of foam in their comfort layers like many other mattress companies, Qube uses contour cut memory foams with a gel overlay in all of their mattresses. This style of construction maximizes pressure relief and heat conduction, whilst keeping the underlying mattress flexible enough to conform to your body’s curves.
There are currently two Qube lines. The base Qube line and the IntelliQube models. Both of these use their GelShell technology, but have subtle differences in the cover and foams used. We’ll cover both of these in detail below.
Shared Features in All Models
Qube GelShell Technology
All of Qube’s products are built with their trademarked "GelShell" technology.
This is a combination of memory foam and gel that are combined in a single 2-inch layer. To be clear, the Qube GelShell technology is very different than the “gel memory foam” you sometimes hear about with other brands. Whereas most mattress brands use the term “gel memory foam” to refer to memory foam that contains a small amount of gel (usually in the form of gel beads), Qube’s products are built with a full sheet of gel akin to what you might see in a medical mattress. This creates a lot of pressure relief and absorbs excess heat to keep you sleeping cool. The GelShell layer is also uniquely contour-cut to improve airflow and allow the memory foam “Qubes” to flex and conform independently of their neighbors. This creates more elasticity and conformance in the mattress surface.

High-Density Materials
All of Qube’s mattresses use some of the highest quality (and highest density) materials in the mattress industry today. If you’re just learning about mattresses, the best predictor of long-term performance is typically thought to be found in foam density. Put simply, high-density foams last longer and perform better than low-density foams. In the case of the Qube, all of their products use very high-density foams. They use a combination of Talalay latex, graphite-infused Talalay latex, Serene foam, and high-density memory foams to vary the feel of their products. In fact, in their IntelliQube line, they use an eight pound memory foam. This is an exceptionally high density, and exceeds almost every competitor on the market today.

Pocket Springs
Finally, almost all of their mattresses use some kind of pocket spring system (the one exception to this is the CoreQube model, which uses a poly foam support core). Pocket springs are a robust style of innerspring in which the springs are contained in fabric pockets that are attached to their neighbors. Much like with the GelShell system, this design allows for these coils to function independently of one another and creates more contour than a typical connected coil design. These are the kind of coils that you typically hear about with a “hybrid” mattress.

The Qube Models
There are seven total models in the base Qube Collection. All of these use UHD (ultra high-density) 5lb memory foam and have smooth, stretch-knit covers with polyethylene fibers. In other words, these are the “classic” hybrid models from Qube (the exception is, again, the CoreQube model, which uses a poly foam support core). The flexibility of the stretch-knit cover allows for you to really feel the underlying comfort layers and maximizes the benefits of the memory foam and gel materials. In addition, some of these models also use Talalay latex. This is a very high-quality and very buoyant material that balances the softness of the underlying memory foam.
The Qube models with pocket springs all have a zoned 748-coil count unit.

The IntelliQube Models
The IntelliQube models, on the other hand, all have quilted covers. Quilted covers tend to make mattresses feel slightly firmer and less yielding, although in this case these are also quilted with memory foam. The result is a mattress surface that feels a bit like a traditional mattress, but has a LOT of pressure relief and comfort. The memory foam used in the GelShell layer on the IntelliQube is also just about the highest density we’ve ever seen in the mattress industry. In fact, we think it might be the highest density we’ve ever seen at 8lbs. As you might expect, this creates a lot of pressure relief and a slightly denser and slower feeling “ride” than lower density memory foams.
In addition, the IntelliQube models have a slightly higher overall coil count, with a zoned 948-coil count unit.

Who We Think These Are Best For
We’d recommend Qube mattresses to a couple different categories of sleeper.
First, we'd recommend these to anyone that wants a hybrid made of the highest quality materials. All of Qube's offerings use high-density foams and their GelShell technology - these meet or outmatch most other products on the market today. Second, we’d recommend these to people looking for a lot of pressure relief and/or that want the highest levels of mattress cooling. It’s really hard to beat a full-length sheet of gel for heat conduction and absorption. We think that Qube’s done an excellent job of implementing this and keeping the feel of a high quality hybrid mattress. We actually think there’s something for everyone here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these to most sleepers.

Delivery and Returns
- Delivery and return policy will vary by retailer
Qube mattresses are currently only available in select mattress stores.
Warranty
- 20-year non-prorated
- Body Impression - 3/4"
Warranty information for each mattress is included on the mattress "Law Label" at the store, and vary depending on the model. Be sure to talk to your salesperson about warranty terms, and particularly about the body impression warranty, which will tell you how much of a permanent depression may form to be covered under warranty. Most Qube mattresses are warrantied to a 3/4" body impression - this is the industry standard for a hybrid mattress. The 20-year warranty, on the other hand, exceeds almost every warranty on the market today.
