Summary: Beautyrest World Class 2025 Collection
New to 2025, the Beautyrest World Class Collection replaces the outgoing Harmony Lux models as the mid-range options in Beautyrest’s greater catalogue. In our view, the new World Class models are significantly improved relative to previous generations. These all have very high coil densities, some new and improved poly foams, and some amount of cooling features. We’ll cover both the Quilted models and the new Hybrids in this overview.
First, let’s discuss the common features across the World Class Collection.
Shared Features in All Models
Upgraded Coil Units
All of the new World Class models have an upgraded coil unit with a very high coil density. Whereas most Queen mattresses have a coil count or coil density somewhere around 800, the World Class mattresses have about a 1000 coils in a Queen size. This means that these mattresses are generally going to be more supportive AND more conforming than a typical pocket spring mattress. For comparison’s sake, the Beautyrest Core Collection (this is positioned just under the World Class Collection) uses an 875 coil density in a Queen size.
Additionally, Beautyrest is one of the few manufacturers in the industry that varies the gauge of their coils to better match different body shapes and sizes. They typically use a somewhat soft coil (around a 15.5 gauge) in their Plush models, and a somewhat firmer coil (either a 13.5 or a 14.75 gauge) in their Medium and Firm models. This allows them to target a wider range of firmnesses in their overall line.
World Class Relief HD Foam
Beautyrest has also increased the density of their poly foams and incorporated new foams across the line. The most noteworthy of this is the new Beautyrest World Class Relief HD Foam. This is a fast-responding foam that reportedly mixes the qualities of latex and memory foam. In our experience, this kind of fast-response foam is both comfortable and extremely durable.
All of the World Class models also have some amount of memory foam. This is typically their Beautyrest Max or Beautyrest Max HD Memory Foam. Both of these are somewhat slow-responding memory foams that add pressure relief and contour to the mattress.
Cooling Features
The new World Class Collection also includes a number of cooling features. Beautyrest refers to these as their InfiniCool and InfiniCool Max technologies. These use a combination of Phase Change Material (PCM) and Polyethylene yarns (PE) to create an initial sense of coolness to the touch.
We’ve actually tested both PCM and PE fibers in our own labs, and have confirmed that these create a real sense of coolness and absorb heat over the first thirty minutes or so in bed. This is a clear benefit and can help people fall asleep, although we’ve discovered that these technologies are typically not as effective at cooling over the course of an entire night. Regardless, we think these are thoughtful additions that add a lot of value.
Quilted Models
The new World Class Quilted models offer a wide-range of different feels and different price points. These are split into two general categories: the Level Three and Level Four Collections.
All of the Level Three models have a light purple border, whereas the Level Four models have a light blue blue border. In terms of features, there aren’t a lot of differences between the Level Three and Level Four models (both use the same coil units and most of the same foams), but the Level Four models tend to have more foam and have a little more Cushioning Depth and Memory Feel as a result.
Model Name | Softness | Cushioning Depth | Memory Feel |
Level 3 Extra Firm | Very Firm | Very Shallow | Medium |
Level 3 Medium Firm | Firm | Shallow | Medium |
Level 3 Plush | Medium | Medium | Medium-High |
Level 3 Medium Pillow Top | Medium-Firm | Medium | Medium-High |
Level 3 Plush Pillow Top | Medium-Soft | Deep | Medium-High |
Model Name | Softness | Cushioning Depth | Memory Feel |
Level 4 Medium | Medium-Firm | Medium | Medium-High |
Level 4 Plush | Medium-Soft | Slightly Deep | Medium-High |
Level 4 Firm Pillow Top | Firm | Slightly Shallow | High |
Level 4 Plush Pillow Top | Soft | Deep | High |
Hybrid Models
Much like with the Quilted models, the World Class Hybrids are divided into two general categories: the Level Three and Level Four Collections. Unlike the quilted models, the hybrids all have smooth, stretch-knit surfaces that allow you to feel the underlying foam layers. This means that all of these models tend to have more Memory Feel and a little more Cushioning Depth to better match the curves of your body.
As with the rest of the collection, the Level Three Hybrids have a light purple border, whereas the Level Four Models have a light blue border. Additionally, the Medium Apex Top is worth mentioning here, as this has a unique foam encasement that extends up into the comfort layers. This allows for this model to have a lot of memory foam (and a lot of Cushioning Depth) whilst preserving the edge support.
Model Name | Softness | Cushioning Depth | Memory Feel |
Level 3 Firm Hybrid | Firm | Slightly Shallow | High |
Level 3 Medium Hybrid | Medium-Firm | Medium | High |
Level 3 Plush Hybrid | Medium | Deep | Very High |
Model Name | Softness | Cushioning Depth | Memory Feel |
Level 4 Firm Hybrid | Firm | Medium | High |
Level 4 Plush Hybrid | Medium | Deep | High |
Level 4 Medium Apex Top | Medium-Firm | Slightly Deep | Very High |
Who We Think These Are Best For
The new Beautyrest World Class Quilted and Hybrid Collections offer a wide-range of firmnesses with a high-quality coil unit and improved foams. Beautyrest is also one of the few brands that varies the gauge of their coil unit to better match people of different shapes and sizes. The importance of this can’t be overstated. Whereas many other companies use a single coil unit and vary the firmness of the overlying foams, Beautyrest is able to fine-tune the firmness of the coils themselves.
We think the new World Class Collection would be an excellent option for most people looking for a pocketed coil mattress. The 1000 coil density unit feels robust and supportive, and the new foams are accommodating and quite comfortable. They also add a fair bit of Memory Feel, although this is balanced somewhat by the use of the latex-like World Class Relief HD Foam.
If you’re looking for more in the way of luxury materials (like natural fibers and latex), then you might look at the Beautyrest Black line, but otherwise we think that most people will do well on the World Class models.
