Hi there -- Thanks for your question. We haven't done an in-depth review of this model, so I'm afraid we can't answer this question definitively. That said, it does have an encased coil support unit, which typically would make it compatible for use with an adjustable base. Also, be aware that no beds are "hinged for bending." Rather, mattresses that are compatible with an adjustable base are simply able to bend and flex naturally without incurring long-term damage to the mattress and while still providing comfort and support.
