Why is my Stearns & Foster Joy Euro Pillow Top mattress sagging in the middle after 14 months?

I purchased a Stearns & Foster Joy Luxury Plush Pillowtop mattress for my daughter at Mattress Firm on 7/22/2013. After 14 months, the mattress is sagging in the middle, making it difficult for her to turn or get out of bed. I chose the euro top because my daughter suffers from Fibromyalgia and RSD and she felt relief when she first got it. She weighs approx. 150 lbs. There should be no reason for it to sag in such a short time. Was the mattress discontinued because of this problem? What can be done to resolve the problem?

One Answer:

Stearns and Foster mattresses have a ten year full warranty. You should go back to the place where you purchased it, explain what is happening, and they should help you submit a warranty claim. Just so you know, for sagging issues, Stearns and Foster doesn't consider it to be a warrantable issue until there is a sag of one and a half inches in depth. You might be asked to measure and photograph the depression yourself, and they don't accept photographs taken in seams or stitches. I hope this helps, and good luck with your warranty.
