Look to see what is in the pillowtop. If it is poly and/or memory foam, you can expect the pillowtop to lose its shape in a short time. For both, comfort and durability, we recommend starting with a firmer non pillowtop mattress and adding a layer of all-natural Talalay latex foam rubber, which is much more resilient than any other type of chemical based foam...like polyurethane and memory foam. The comfort of a removable latex pillowtopper, will last for many years.
