FireBlocker in Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses?

Does the Perfect Sleeper Gibbons II Plush have FireBlocker?

Seen 10,476 times Last updated Mar 2014

One Answer:

Hello -- Current laws require that all mattresses sold in the US pass flame resistance tests. With the exception of a small subset of the mattress market that specializes in the use of natural and organic materials, mattress manufacturers generally use some kind of synthetic fire retardant to meet these regulatory standards.

As for "FireBlocker" specifically, that is the branded term for Serta's proprietary flame resistance material, which is what they use in most (or perhaps all?) of their mattresses. You can read more about it on their website here.
