We were fortunate enough to get the last of the double pillow tops before Kinsdown stopped making them. Although we have to flip and turn our mattress, it is absolutely worth it. Our mattress is just as soft and retained its shape just as it was on day one. We have had our mattress for 12 years and look forward to sleeping in our own bed every time we travel. Being a military family, our bed has been moved several times and we still think this was one of the smartest purchases we have made. Our children are spoiled now and will not sleep on anything but a Kinsdown.
we purchased our bed at sears in Grande Prairie Alberta the bed was made in Calgary Alberta Canada upon bringing our bed home it flew out of the truck doing 120 kilometers an hour hit a transport truck and landed in the ditch to our amazement the bed was in perfect condition wow .We cant say enough about this bed it is by far the best built bed on earth .
This was the best shopping experience I have ever had. Are new bed is located at our vacation home, soon to be only home and I can't wait till Friday arrives! I want one for all our rooms. We are not wealthy by any means but our backs hurt and we were not getting a good night sleep. So worth the investment! Love my bed and recommend Keck Furniture to everyone looking for a new mattress.
We love our bed more than i can explain. The My Side beds are such a great idea. We are going to purchase on for our daughter for her wedding gift. We sleep so good. My husband always needed a firmer bed than i liked and this bed is firm on his side and softer on mine. We were able to choose the level of support for each of our needs. We had slept on a Sleep Number bed at a Marriott and my husbands side kept "deflating" He had to re adjust his sleep number 3 times that night. The lady at the desk said it happens to all of thier rooms with those beds. the next night we stayed in a different room. Our bed is great. And heavy.
I love this mattress! After a terrible experience with two other retailers (Sleepy's and Mattress Warehouse) I finally found a mattress that I absolutely love. I can't wait to get home and go to bed every night. I feel like I wake up in the same position I fell asleep in. My husband feels the same way. We don't toss and turn and we stay cool at night. Everything that the store manager (Tony) told us is absolutely true! This bed is perfect!!
I have rheumatoid arthritis, spinal problems and widespread chronic muscle pain. The TempurPedic Cloud Lux was very difficult for me to move around and get out of bed. The Rapture is my dream bed and exceptionally comfortable and I look forward to going to bed at night. I have read a lot of reviews on mattresses, but have not found one that recommends a specific mattress for RA and Fibromyalgia. It has a lifetime warranty and it is made by hand. I cannot say how it holds up in the long run, but for now I love it and highly recommend it. The springs are wrapped in latex and the mattress is 18" high. I have a step stool next to the bed to get in it and off it. I also had a prescription from doctor and did not pay for sales tax.
Had this bed for just over twelve months. Bed keeps getting softer with one side worse than the other. Developed a hard ridge in the middle which does an amazing job of keeping you apart. Best bed for birth control ever made!
We bought a kingsdown mattress. I noticed that one side seemed slanted and I felt like I was rolling off the side. We had a inspector come out from Kingsdown who indicated that the bed was in fact 1" lower on one side of the bed. You can actually see the hump in the middle. We received a letter from Kingsdown that we were denied our warranty because the bed needed to be 1.5" lower at a minimum to be covered by warranty. So much for standing behind their product. Thumbs down for Kingsdown.
My experience is much like the other reviews here. Back and hips hurt to the point of having to go through physical therapy. Store refused to help. Manufacturer denied a problem. Spend too much and now have to shop for something else in less than fifteen months. Disappointed. Mad. Pissed off beyond words.
Every morning I wake up close to tears, and say I am going to write a review, so I am finally going to do it. About two and a half years ago I convinced my now husband, that it was time to ditch our crappy discount, hand-me-down mattress we'd been sleeping on, and invest in a great bed. We both have bad backs from playing sports, we both have stressful jobs, and sound, comfortable sleep is so important for both those issues. So, we walked over to our local fidi sleepys to spend a considerable amount of money, probably on a tempurpedic. Store experience was great, they used a cool machine to look at the amount of firmness each of us needed, and by the end we walked out buying a pretty expensive sleeptolive mattress (same firmness on both sides). What a mistake.
Long story short, the bed dips in the middle. It always has. After 6 months, we actually put our old mattress pad that we had bought to disguise the awfulness of our old bed on our new, expensive bed!! Finally after 2 years of frustration, I took action, called sleepys to see if there was anything we could do. I find out that we have a great warranty, and may be able to do do something about this mess after all. Yay! They send out someone to look at our bed, and it turns out I really do sleep on an angle! The "string" test showed that sure enough our bed dips on both sides, but about an inch more on mine. So the tech sends his report to sleepys/their third party mattress reviewer -- we are so excited that the prospect of a good, comfortable sleep is on the horizon, and then we heard from sleepys. Got our long-awaited letter in the mail…and…THEY DENIED OUR CLAIM. Really!?! After so much great, helpful customer service, we received a cold, inhuman awful letter. That provided little information, other than something to the tune of “your mattress is defective, but not defective enough, deal with it”. I am beyond irate, uncomfortable, tired, and will never shop at Sleepy's or buy Sleep To Live ever again, and neither should you.
I received a Kingsdown Kristen mattress/box spring in April of 2013 as a direct replacement with a $400 fee from the manufacturer for an original discontinued mattress/box spring from October of 2006.
After only one year the Kristen REPLACEMENT mattress has already softened with bulges, lumps and sagging and feels much like sleeping on the side of a small hill.
I religiously follow the Kingsdown recommendation from the Owner’s Manual and rotate the mattress every three months and even have to change sides of the bed every week or so to try to find a comfortable and firm side of the bed without all of the aforementioned.
After many mornings of waking up with a stiff back, I made a warranty claim with inspection to no avail as it didn’t meet the company’s selective and self-serving criteria. Their response letter was filled with inaccuracies and merely quoted their standard minimum policy.
After purchasing two “high end” beds from this company, I would NOT recommend investing $2000+ in any of their product lines!
