First of all, up until delivery, I was extremely happy with my purchase. My sales rep, Vlad was outstanding. There was a nice selection, and I made a purchase I felt happy about, at a fair and reasonable price. No complaints there, and to reiterate, Vlad was WONDERFUL! The problem came when a random delivery company, contracted by Mattress Firm, showed up at my daughter's high rise to make the delivery I paid for. They had no license or insurance information, and Harborview Towers in Baltimore would not allow the bed to be delivered into their building. Is it Harborview's fault? We told them on Tuesday that this was happening, and they said nothing about this policy. Was MFirm at fault? You have installers not able to present their paperwork should damage occur to the building. Some places need this info, and shame on a large company for not being transparent with it. Who had to endure the stress? Me. The customer who paid almost $1400 to make this purchase, rearrange my schedule, and drive downtown to meet the delivery. It made for a very very stressful day. MFirm said they could not provide that information for at least 48 hours. Are you kidding? After much arguing, the condo folks showed mercy on us, and we were able to get the bed. The installers said "We are not allowed to stay longer than 15 minutes," but I reminded them that this was essentially their fault. What a mess! They finally took the fifteen minutes that delivery and set up required (I could tell they were rushing), and the bed looks great, but I do have a slightly sour taste in my mouth.
