GoodBed Expert Review
Our Take on DreamCloud (2020-2022)

Founder of GoodBed

Founder of GoodBed, Leading Mattress Expert

Bottom Line - Here was our assessment of this product.
Bottom line best icon BEST if you
  • Want a medium-firm mattress (i.e., just a little firmer than average)
  • Are mainly a back sleeper (though this mattress can also be very good for stomach sleepers) (though this mattress can also be good for side sleepers who prioritize firm support over extra pressure relief)
  • Are easily disturbed by other movements in the bed (motion isolation is excellent)
  • Prefer an average amount of 'memory feel'
  • Enjoy a happy medium between sleeping 'on' your mattress versus 'in' it
  • Prefer products that have been more extensively tested by GoodBed
Bottom line not ideal icon NOT IDEAL if you
  • Weigh 225 lb or more, especially if you sleep on your stomach
  • Are seeking the absolute highest quality and longevity (though materials and construction are still pretty good)
  • Don't like any bounce in your mattress
  • May use this mattress on an adjustable base (adjustable base compatibility isn't the best, but is still pretty good)
  • Regularly sit or sleep along the edge of your bed (edge support is good, but not the best)

Additional Information

General Description

SOFT-TO-THE-TOUCH COVER - Keep cozy and cool with quilted foam and cashmere on top.- The cover and the first layer of foam are combined and quilted together to make the top component of the mattress.
- A layer of foam sewn into the quilted cover component to provide added comfort and some loft.
- Cashmere is incorporated into the cover.
- Provides a soft tactile experience.

PRESSURE-RELIEF COMFORT LAYER - Get relief wherever you need it with gel memory foam that contours to your shape.

- Cushions your body at its most sensitive areas, like the pressure points. The gel memory foam helps contour to provide support where you need it, and comfort where you want it. It also provides the much-loved, traditional “memory foam” feel: softness, cushion, pressure relief, comfort, “sleeping in the mattress”.

TARGETED-SUPPORT COIL LAYER - Get custom relief with innerspring individually wrapped coils that adapt to your body.
- Provides resistance against the body as you lay down on top of the mattress.
- If you were to jump onto your mattress, this layer prevents you from feeling the base support layer of foam.

ESSENTIAL BASE LAYER - This layer ensures everything above it performs at its best.

- This layer is intended to help provide the following benefits:

a) Breathability/air flow: innerspring mattresses have been shown to help promote airflow through the product better than foam-only mattresses due to the density (or lack thereof) of the materials.
b) Edge support: 3 rows of higher-gauge coils are used for the perimeter of this layer’s footprint to help bolster the edge of the mattress when customers put weight on it. This structure also helps reduce the chance of customers rolling off of the mattress in their sleep.
c) Motion transfer: individually-wrapped coils are not directly connected to each other; therefore, when pressure is placed on one coil, it will not drag others down with it.
d) Support/Contour: innerspring coils create a supportive surface that flexes to conform to individual curves and contours of the body
