Worn out after 2 years. Back Pain.

We bought the Rhapsody Luxe Cali King 6 years ago for about 3800 including yhe Temputpedic Foundation. At first it was ok, except for the smell and the fact that it is quite warm. We knew this going in so I wont complain about it except that it is actually quite hot in summer. After 3 years it got really soft in the areas where most body weight is supported. We turned it every 6 months which by the way is a back breaking job in itself. 4 years in I could not sleep through the night anymore as I have to turn every 2-3 hours because it is so soft like sleeping in a hammock. I am not exaggerating. I got serious lower back pain- never had this before. Physioyherapist showed me exercises but every morning I feel horrible. At first I was in denial due to the fact that I spent so much money but after 5 years it got obvious and I cant deny it anymore. The mattress is complete mush where our hips and shoulders rest. To turn you literally have to dig yourself out. The problem is that Tempurpedics warranty makes you measure depth of impressions. That does not take into account the softness. Point in case: I can push with my hand easy 8 inches down in center where my hip rests. In other areas I push down 1 inch with the same force. 6 years in I try the warranty process again. They make you jump through hoops but I did it all, many pictures, proof of purchase, measurements, hours on the phone. It got approved and I will get a replacement- they say.

The warranty is a trick. It’s a swayback!

We purchased the firmest mattress in the store with price not being a determinant. We loved it. Now three years later it’s a swayback horse. It’s like an old sponge just before you throw it out. The top and bottom are still firm but the centers and edges squish. We have to sleep on our sides back to back to have some sense of back support. The real “trick” is that the memory foam returns to flat negating the ability to make a warranty claim. The PR spew never hints at the “normal reduction in firmness” You know how 60,000 mile tires only make it to 30,000 miles because “it’s the local roads” well a really expensive mattress only makes 2 1/2 years.

Best bed I have ever slept on

Love this breed. Spent quite a bit of money on it and have never regretted it. My hips were starting to hurt when I slept. This mattress took care of that and I could no longer Greek my husband's Restless Legs. He had since passed so just me now and I am getting older and achy. I still think this bed gives me the best sleep possible and will last forever. If you buy Tempurpedic brand or keeps the integrity forever. I love the Cashmere cover. It is truly like slerping on a well supporting cloud. No cons exertion it is heavy and wobbly when moving.

I really wanted to love this mattress...

5'10" 200# side sleeper. I really wanted to love the Luxe Breeze soft. The idea of a bed that is 8 degrees cooler sounds like a fantasy. The cover is great, it's very cool to the touch. The bed is also cool when you start laying on it. It is nice that it's cool while falling asleep. About an hour into the night, the cooling effect is definitely gone. By morning, the bed is warm like any other memory foam mattress. "Soft" is a category name only, not an actual description of this bed. To their credit, Tempur-pedic did tell me that the soft was more like a "soft-medium". Well, they were right. It's pretty firm for a soft. My shoulder would hurt into the night. It felt like my elbow was being pushed back as I was sleeping on my side. I really wanted to like this mattress. I traded this mattress for a LUXE Adapt soft...It is amazing!

Goodbye Back Pain

I have been in multiple car accidents and I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which keeps me in low to mid grade chronic pain in my pelvis and lower back. Sometimes my neck and upper back as well. I bought this mattress new at a liquidation store so I got it for half off right under $2000. I was 23 when I bought it and I think it was probably my first big purchase LOL. I had to do payments. I've had the bed for 3 1/2 years now and if my house catches on fire this bed is the first thing I'm rescuing. It is so comfortable and delightful to sleep on. I have a queen and it's very comfortable to share with a partner or sleep alone. My bed shows no signs of aging. No dips or bumps or anything. I would recommend this bed to anyone with pain or chronic pain. It's an expensive mattress but it's well worth the money. Thank you TEMPUR-Pedic

Hot Breeze would better describe it

We've tried purchasing high end sheets and changing the box springs, removing the box springs, changing the bed frame, different pillows - you name it. Cant rid the bed of hot sleep. For comparison any number of hotels (pre-covid) provided comfortable sleep without the heat issue. The other issue is we washed the supremebreeze liner that unzips from the mattress and it shrunk! So now stuffing the mattress into the shrunken liner caused it to flatten and bunch up in the corners. Our daughters Avocado mattress retails for far less and sleeps much better.

I tried to exchange or get my money back after I purchased

No one in customer service was helpful. They sent papers for me to measure the mattress and wanted pictures of the mattress, yet, I was told that they just couldn't help me. I slept on a wonderful temper pedic, but my ex got that mattress. So, I bought my own. It has been uncomfortable from the very start. Now, after 7 yrs, I have back pain, sleepless nights and just plain dislike for this product. I bought direct, online, thinking I was getting the exact same one I had while married....It Was NOT!!!!

Still Hot

For the price I paid for this mattress, I had very high expectations. I loved it at first and found it comfortable and cool... However, that was over fall, winter and early spring. Now that it is warmer and the mattress is breaking in, I am waking up sinking into the bed and HOT. It hits me after being in bed 4-6 hours. Add back pain and I am not sleeping well at all. Approx 4-6 hours of sleep a night. I still owe $2,800 🤬 and have been looking at mattresses again. Don't know what to do.
