Very comfy, but broke quickly & they won't replace it

So, my husband and I purchased the 3 inch mattress topper from a local store where they just sung the praises of Latex Bliss. At first I was in total heaven. It was the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on. When we've had housesitters stay, everyone comments on how comfy our bed is. I wish I could give them 5 stars, alas, there are huge problems. The main problem is with the mattress topper cover. After the first wash, I followed the directions explicitly and dried it partially on cool and then let it air dry. It still shrunk. In the past 3 years, I cannot have washed that thing more than 7 or 8 times since we have a mattress protector we use over the topper, and yet the zipper broke. The entire thing just fell off. I called customer service expecting that such an expensive product that was virtually new- I mean I have not used that zipper more than, as I said, 7 or 8 times, would be replaced with an apology. BUT SURPRISE, welcome to the new corporate America, where they don't care about the quality of their product, they just don't want to pay for their quality mistakes. And their genius advice was to take it to a seamstress/tailor, both of whom told me they'd have to replace the entire zipper at a huge cost. So now we're on the hook for paying another $150 for another cover, even though ours is as close to brand new as it gets. What an awful, awful policy. I do not recommend doing business with this company. I no longer have faith in their products since it's obvious they don't have faith in them either. Extremely disappointing. And there are lots of latex companies, I'm sure you can find one that cares more about their customers and the quality of their products.

worst warranty and customer service ever.

Bought mattress and a topper from these people and what a mistake. The mattress overpriced as you probably already know from other posts but a bit firm for me so bought the topper as well 400. After 6 months the zipper on the cover for topper simply fell off its track causing the whole cover to come off. Called customer service and would not replace. Even though the warranty states on website covers and there zippers will be replaced in two year period. Livid is understatement. Bad back is why I bought this thing and topper put mattress at just right level. Now with out 400. Dollar topper to hard. Asked rep if I could buy a cover. Not an option I guess. Waste of money don't know what to do or were to find another cover. I am crossing fingers on the mattress now hoping nothing happens to it. Because they won't back there product. Junk don't do it.

Absolutely Amazing

I bought my 100% organic King sized pure latex bliss beautiful mattress in February 2013. I have been sleeping on it nearly 2 years at this point. I love it more every day. I NEVER wake up at night because of pressure point pain (arm asleep, leg asleep, pain in hips or joints). When I travel, I always cannot wait to get back home to my own bed. I never thought a mattress could make so much difference in my life. I will NEVER buy another inner spring (or even a hybrid) mattress. God willing (because they are more expensive), every mattress I purchase the rest of my life will be a latex mattress.

Best. Bed. Ever.

My husband and I had an old boxspring mattress that we had been sleeping on for years, wen we decided it was time to upgrade. I have horrible allergies, so I want something that would have some allergy resistance, as well as be firm. I am not a cushy bed sleeper, so if you are this mattress is not for you. My husband is 220, and I am 160 and we sleep amazingly well in this bed. He tends to sleep on his back or side, where I am a stomach sleeper. Unlike a Tempur-pedic, we didn't have to worry about strong off gassing (or any, even though they warned us there might be some). While it may not be as cool as a box-spring, there are options to buy sheets and mattress pads with cooling gels/fabrics. What I love most about this bed, is that I don't even feel him move in the night, if he comes to bed late, he's not waking me up and vice versa. We purchased the "Natural" king after doing loads of research. While it is very expensive upfront, comparing it with other mattresses of its type, it was not that far off price point. If you enjoy a firm night sleep, this is a great mattress!

This bed is way too hard.

I purchased the Pure Latex Bliss (Nature model) bed 4 months ago thinking that is would be more supportive and comfortable than a memoryfoam, because, it uses the pressure of the body to support rather than heat like the memoryfoam. Now I am so sorry that I bought the latex bed. I thought it felt good in the store. I went back to the store about 5 times to make sure the mattress felt good. But when I sleep on it all night my body hurts every morning. It just isn't comfortable. I find that it is too hard. My shoulders hurt if I sleep on my side and my back hurts if I sleep on my back. My husband also has the same experience with this mattress being way too hard. It may form to the body which feels good at the store, but feels like a board when we sleep on it all night. I wish I would have bought a memoryfoam or a conventional bed. Unfortunately the only local store that sold this mattress didn’t have a sleep guarantee. So I cannot take it back. I was so focused on the good reviews (probably written by the company) that I took a chance on this large purchase. I have now learned that there may be a good reason why only one store in a large city sells this product. That reason is because it is not a very good product unless you want a very FIRM mattress and the company doesn't stand behind their product. I talked to Pure Latex Bliss customer service and there is nothing that they will do since it is a comfort issue and not a warranty issue. I guess we have to live and learn. I just hope you as a reader will learn from my experience. We will buy a 3 inch memoryfoam mattress topper to make this bed comfortable. Hope it works. This is the first review that I ever made on a product. It is such a big expense that I am compelled to comment on it.

I'm with J I from Simcoe. Painful, overpriced, and no help

I too went over my budget to buy what was supposed to be the answer to all my sleep needs. What felt ok in the site feels rock hard and uncomfortable in my home. I couldn't afford the restocking fee, was told I needed was to break the bed in, was told the PLB topper would help, eventually spent another almost $600 that I could barely afford after buying the bed for their 2" topper which was just throwing good money after bad. I contacted PLB customer service online and explained how uncomfortable the bed was, and asked about a discount on a topper to see if that might help. I was told plainly that no such help is available. So here I am with $5,000 worth of pain causing latex and no money left to buy anything else. Very disappointed, and more importantly I'm in constant pain and can't do anything about it but complain here.

Finally a bed I can sleep in without terrible back pain.

Two days ago we purchased the split king Pure Latex Bliss Beautiful mattress with the adjustable frame. I have had numerous back and neck surgeries and for the past ten years have had to sleep in a recliner. We finally decided to invest, yes it is not inexpensive, in a quality mattress and adjustable bed frame. We looked at a number of mattresses and choose the Pure Latex because our dealer gave us a 1 year comfort guarantee which is way beyond the normal guarantee. Even though the set was expensive it was half the price of the Pranasleep set that we were considering. I can say the past 2 nights have been wonderful. I can adjust the bed to a comfortable position and wake in the morning feeling great. This purchase was long over due and is one I am sure I will enjoy for years to come. The mattress is very cool, no heat build up, and provides fantastic support...what more can you ask for

"Bliss is Best"

Best mattress ever we were on 5th new king mattress in seven years this is by far the most comfortable ever. Only mattress ever able to sleep on back.

Bed was very firm to start. OK now.

The bed started out as a disappointment, to firm. Then with help from the retailer we were able to correct this. We would recommend the bed to others. We had a water bed for over 40 years.

Very Squeaky Mattress Set!!

I purchased a queen Pure LatexBliss set from a local store and unfortunately my Pure LatexBliss mattress set squeaks very loudly waking me up at night! It squeaked the very first moment when I laid on it, as well as when I moved around at night causing me to wake up. The local store was kind enough to give me a replacement box spring (the source of the squeak) the next day. Unfortunately the replacement exhibited the same behavior. The store I made the purchase from suggested I keep it for a week to see if it would settle. Unfortunately after more than a week later it still squeaks keeping me up at night. I am very sensitive to sound and not used to a bed that squeaks. My old one did not do this, I don't know why a new one I paid this much money for should. More than a week later I am still extremely disappointed about my overall experience with my Pure LatexBliss mattress set as the squeaky bed wakes me up at night. The mattress itself seems fine so far however the foundations that are sold by Pure LatexBliss (which are not made by them) are of extremely poor quality. Not only does it squeak, but the slats are more than 6" apart covered with a top sheet of cheap cardboard. The thin bottom cover of the foundation is already coming apart as it is cheaply attached to the frame. I would have never purchased the box if I knew it would squeak or be this cheaply constructed. The box did not squeak in the store so I feel the one I actually purchase should not either. I have contacted Pure LateBliss via email voicing my discontent about the squeaks and they have simply stated that they would like the someone to examine the bed to ensure it was "set up correctly". I have ensured that my mattress set has been "set up correctly" by the guys who delivered it. Box goes on frame, mattress goes on box. Pretty easy I think. So I can't help but feel that Pure LatexBliss is punting on my concern. As such I cannot recommend a Pure LatexBliss mattress set to others. It is unfortunate that Pure LatexBliss charges so much for their product, but they give you such a poor quality foundation that detracts from any of the benefits of the talaly latex mattress that comes with it.
