Plush Mattress "Wore Out" in Under a Year

I bought this mattress because the salesman said it would support two sleepers. He is 240 lbs, I am 130 pounds. This mattress has a top layer of smaller coils under the comfort layer. It slept well for the first several months before we noticed it was bowing in where he slept so we started sleeping on opposite sides. A few months later the bowing was so bad we had to move to sleeping in separate beds. Now I cannot even sleep in it alone without experiencing pain in both hips. It usually goes away once I get up and moving around, but it would wake me up in the night several times. I bought a 3 inch adaptive foam topper and it is only helping marginally. I am a healthy person who exercises daily, drink water, take calcium, eat healthy, etc. I have no known issues with my hips or spine that would cause this problem. As this bed is so plush, it was never used for anything but sleeping. I am very disappointed with this purchase and the handling of the inspection, warranty, etc. The inspection report said the mattress only has normal body indentation. As I was in the room with the inspector, I saw 1.5 inches dip on the top layer in the middle. The report said it was an overall indentation and less than an inch, which is not at all accurate. I called the Aireloom company and talked with customer service, I also called the mattress store I bought it from. Everyone is very apologetic that I am having these problems with my expensive mattress, but the problems aren't covered under warranty. And the mattress store will gladly sell me a new and different mattress with a nice discount on the price. I'm literally in tears at this point. It took me months to pay off this mattress and the monthly payments were very steep. Not easy to take for a retired person.

Aireloom is a Rip Off!

Aireloom Pershing Luxetop Firm, is the most expensive mattress ($7,000.00) We’ve ever bought. This brand is a total ripped off! We’ve had the mattress for less than a year and it’s completely sagging on both side of the bed (huge mound in the middle!) of our Cal-King. We bought it through Ortho Mattress in Newport Beach Ca. We called them and they sent out one of there independent inspectors that was a total joke! He first tried to get me to leave the room (my bedroom) so he could do the inspection (1st Red Flag) then he told me it’s pretty rare that anyone ever gets these covered under warranty (Airloom) then he said my dip needed to be more than 1 ½’ deep after measuring he said oh you should be good it’s more than 2”, but when he sent in the report to Sit’ n sleep he made all the pictures blurry so you want read the measuring devise. They denied the claim! It doesn’t matter if they give you 15yr warranty if they don’t honor it… It could be lifetime warranty, but it doesn’t matter if they don’t honor it. Epically in less than 1 year. Buyer beware! DO NOT BUY. UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY!... Worst part is it’s not even paid off! And we are being forced to go buy another bed.

Worse than my old 11 year old Temperpedic!!

After barely six months of owning my Aireloom Hybrid Plush -I am so unhappy! I feel as if the edge is starting to give out and I already feel some sagging. And I am a small person! It also sleeps hotter than I had been told. I am so disappointed. Yes, I chose this mattress and prefer a less firm model-but this one feels like sleeping in a bowl of mush. I am past the timeframe the store allows to return so I probably will just have to bite the bullet and buy a new mattress from another manufacturer.

Lost all support after one year

My wife and I decided to spring for what was billed as a top-of-the-line mattress. We were sold an Aireloom. It's been 18 months and its like sleeping in a ditch. Completely uncomfortable. This mattress is actually causing us back pain. The tech came out today and we were told there was nothing wrong with the mattress because it didn't show a depression of an inch and a half. And yet when I lay on it I feel like a hot dog sunk into a bun. So now I'm stuck with a very expensive, very uncomfortable mattress. I wish I had researched more thoroughly before making this purchase. I feel like I was hustled because this mattress does not meet my expectations for such a pricey product. Do not buy Aireloom.

AVOID Aireloom - Worst mattress I have ever owned

We bought this mattress in July from Mancini’s Sleepworld. We got convinced by the rep that it was a higher quality mattress. After 2 months, it’s completely sagging on both sides, you have zero support on your hips and back. I sleep on the couch every night. We are filing a warranty claim, if it gets rejected we’ll sue Aireloom’s parent company ( E.S. Kluft) in Small Claim Court.

Great Disappointment, Pain and Frustration

Based on the thinking and attitude of Ortho Mattress, I'm supposed to spend $4500.00 every year or so for a new mattress???? I needed a new mattress and wanted to lower the height of the bed. The salesperson recommended a bonky board, assuring me it would support the mattress as well as a box spring. I bought the Aireloom Cardiff queen mattress with all the extras (protective pad, etc.) for about $4500. Ortho delivered it and made no comment about the adequacy of my bedframe. One and a half years later the mattress sags in the middle. I called Ortho. After about a month an inspector arrived to look at my bed and measure the mattress. After three weeks I received a letter saying my complaint was denied. The letter said: No manufacturing defects identified. Normal body impressions within guidelines. (the sag has to be 1 1/2 inches. Mine was measured at 3/4 of an inch.) Inadequate support from improper frame. Queen size must have rigid center support to the floor. (Mine does have rigid support to the floor!) My handyman looked at the bed and the bonky board. He said he was surprised I hadn't had trouble sooner. The bonky board seems to be made of cardboard and foam, woefully inadequate to support such a heavy mattress. My beautiful large wooden bed supported a queen size mattress with box springs effortlessly for 15 years or more before I bought this new mattress. The installers said nothing about inadequate support when they placed the bonky board and mattress on my bed. I am accustomed to sleeping well throughout the night. Now I wake up several times as I try to be comfortable. My body is in pain when I wake up. Customer service said customer comfort warranty is for 100 days. That's not enough time to notice the effects of a bonky board on a mattress. After I received the rejection letter from Premier Inspections Services LTD I called Ortho Mattress. They again, as in my original call, told me to call corporate customer service, 888-499-6784. They said, as in my first call to them, that they would

Like sleeping in a hammock

We thought we were buying the best "FIRM" mattress that money could buy, but I sink into it so much that I am sleeping in a hole. We put a thick yoga mat under the sheets to make it useable!! We only use it a few months out of the year, but it is torture. Bought this at "Texas Bed Company" and had them come out to see, they put a stick across the bed and said it was good!!! Ridiculous!!! DO NOT BUY FROM "AIRELOOM" they do not stand behind their product! One of the reasons we went with Aireloom was because the guy at "Texas Bed Company" said they were the best with customer service, they would even come to your house to fix any problem. Total BS. Total waste of money.

The PERFECT Mattress

I travel a lot all over the country for business so sleep on a large amount of mattresses every year. This is the best one I've ever been on, bar none. Firm support but padded with a layer of softness on top that won't leave me with hip or shoulder pain. I wake up as comfortable as I go to bed. It was expensive for the mattress only ($2600) but I have to say it was worth every penny. With a 30 year warranty, it will hopefully be the last mattress I buy.

Very comfortable, but less comfortable the lighter you get

In general, this is a comfortable mattress. However, when I initially picked out this mattress and thought it was super-comfortable, I weighed 75lbs more than I do now. It didn't dawn on me that I would probably need a different mattress for a different size (stupid of me). My main issues are my hips and shoulders aren't sinking far enough in the mattress so my spine isn't straight. If I raise the head of my adjustable bed a couple of degrees when sleeping on my side, its much better. I'm exchanging it for the Half Moon and keeping this one for my guest room (for 1/2 off).
