When we tried this bed in the store my husband felt very comfortable as soon as he laid on it. I felt like it was a little firm, but thought I could get use to it. From the first night it has been a nightmare for both of us. We are exhausted! My back, shoulders, hips ache. It has gotten so bad after two weeks I have gone to the spare bedroom. My husband is not sleeping well and it feels like only after two weeks there is already a body impression on his side of the bed. He feels that the bed sleeps hot. I have not noticed that yet. Very disappointed overall.
I purchased an Aireloom Mattress. The store that I bought it from no longer carries Aireloom. The inspector from the independent inspection company determined that the mattress failed. Originally, Linda Menzel from Aireloom wanted me to spend about $1420 to ship the mattress to California from New Jersey and back. When I pointed out that they had a plant in PA, Ms. Menzel stated that it would cost $620 to ship the mattress to and from PA.
When I accepted their offer to ship the mattress to PA, Aireloom wanted me to sign an agreement not to disparage as well as waive any future legal rights. After questioning Ms. Menzel, she stated that even if the mattress were defective when it was returned to me, I could not sue Aireloom. By adding the requirement of not to disparage and to waive all future rights, they violated the terms of their warranty and thus defrauded me.
In my opinion, Aireloom is a terrible company to deal with because they do not honor their warranty. If they did this to me, do you think they will treat you any differently?
I loved this bed in the store, but I knew, about halfway through the first night's sleep (or lack of sleep) that this was not a wise purchase! I felt "tricked" by our salesman, who really played up the "cashmere," "wool," "hand tied" aspects of the bed, making it sound like any other purchase was foolish. The lumps that you see in the store, are hard and, well...lumpy in the night. I've slept 4 nights on this mattress and my lower back and hips feel out-of-joint. There is already a deep "puddle" where I sleep and where my husband sleeps. Even with the bed made with our bedspread, you can see the two puddles where we sleep (or try to!). Also, it feels "heated" beneath me where I sleep. I cannot get cooled down, as if there is a heating unit in the bed. It's just awful! Do not be fooled by the momentary, passing comfort in the store - this bed is awful!
We initially bought a tempurpedic based on many recommendations. 30 days later and my back was an absolute mess. I could hardly move and I was at the chiropractor 6 times in 30 days. The chemical smell was horrible and I was sweating my butt off. My wife could not bear to sleep in it. I even had my kids jump on it to try to "break it in".
So, we went back to the store and the sales person was very helpful in assisting with the problems that we were having. My wife stumbled across the Aireloom mattresses and suggested I try it out. I fell in love with the support and comfort immediately. The price kind of scared me initially, but with 30 days of hell behind me, I was up for anything. I like the fact that there are many "real" materials in this mattress and it is not a cookie cutter mattress made out of chemicals. The delivered the mattress promptly and our first night was heaven. Support, cool and comfort. We noticed immediately that when the two of us were in the middle of the bed, there was considerable sag to the mattress. I was kind of perplexed by this until I was on the floor playing with our dog and my wife and kids were horsing around in the bed. I noticed that there was significant flex in the box spring support slats when they were rolling around on the bed. Being an amish bed frame, the box is supported by 3/4" oak slats that run from side to side. I made up support blocks positioned under the slats in the middle of the bed and the problem was rectified. This bed is as comfortable today as it was the day we bought it.
Side note: when we were researching this bed, I sent an e-mail to Aireloom to question some of the negative comments that I found on the net. Earl Kluft (owner) called me on Saturday afternoon and spent 45 minutes discussing the beds and the way things are constructed. Talk about customer support!

Best mattress I've ever had. This was easily the best two thousand dollars I've ever spent. You sleep every night and this is a great way to end your stressful day. I would recommend this mattress to anyone.

After spending $3000+ for this mattress, we thought we would have a great mattress by which we could get a good night's sleep. After just 6 months of use (was new from Macy's) both of us are sleeping in deep body impressions, so much so its become like climbing a "rock wall" to get close to one another. She weighs in at 148, and I'm 6'2" at 205. We have tried to work with Macey's to get some sort of resolution all to no avail. Macy's sent an independent "tester" here who measured our bed "sag", its was not the 1 1/2" in the Hotel Collection by Aireloom King Mattress Set, Vitagenic Plush Streamline warranty / manufacturer defects resolution agreement. A ridiculous measurement because there was not weight on the bed. Beware: this mattress is NOT what it is advertised to be, other than very expensive. We now know there are much better mattresses available and far lower prices. What a scam and shame on Macy's for pushing such a low quality product.

Mattresses come in many different levels of comfort and firmness. Comfort and Firmness are subject to each individual and is a mattter of personal preference. As with all new mattress sets you must expect some level of adjustment.Based on what you have written it appears, you may have purchased a mattress firmer than you need. The fact that the mattress is a one sided pillow-top is something that should have been discussed at time of purchase. As the manufacturer, we provide a warranty to protect your rights as a consumer and it clearly states what is covered. If you feel that the mattress is defective please contact our customer service department at 909-373-4211 .
Air Loom Mattress Co. (E.S. Kluft & Company) warrantied the first mattress and we upgraded to the Carlton East King firm with the understanding that a $2700.00 mattress would perform to the company and my standards. Not so, after only 110 nights of use the same situation of sagging occurred. Air loom will not stand behind a comfort issue and will only replace because of defective construction. I've had two professional mattress inspections perforned which Airloom say's does not indicate defective manufacturing and again will not address a comfort issue. Their customer relations people are like dealing with a used car salesman.

We can appreciate your disappointment with your comfort preference, and the fact that at the time you selected a firmness that turned out not to be what you needed. There have been 3 inspections completed on your mattress set. The first inspection noted the body impressions exceeded tolerance and the mattress was replaced without question. The second and third inspection completed on the replacement mattress noted there were no manufacturing defects and that the mattress was not as firm as you expected.
The fact that we did replace the mattress on the initial inspection states we will honor the warranty if the mattress or foundation fails because of a defect in materials or workmanship. To see our warranty go to ( http://www.Aireloom.com, click on warranty)
The mattress was great when we bought it, but has completely lost all support with 3 years of regular use. Ridiculous that such an expensive product doesn't last longer. Would NOT buy again !

We bought the Cal King Aireloom "Larsen" from RC Willey for approximately $3500 out the door. We were coming off a Nova Foam from Costco. I didn't think it was providing the same support it did 2 years prior. I had high hopes for this new $3500 mattress and they were all shattered my first night on it. I felt like I was ripped off as I looked at the 2 holes on each side were we sleep and the hill in the center. My back has never hurt so much. I have been sleeping on it for 4 weeks now and the size of the holes has gotten even larger. RC Willey is coming this week to exchange it for a Tempurpedic, however they charge you 10% restocking fee. I should have bought that in the first place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON AIRELOOM CRAP MATTRESS!!
