I've bought a mattress for my mom there 4 weeks ago. She tried it on in the store very carefully, took her time, it took 2 separate visits to the store to make sure it feels right. When the mattress was delivered, it was nothing like the one she tried in the store - hard as a rock. When we came to find another one for the exchange, the store said EVERY mattress in the store will feel firmer when it's delivered and the buyer is supposed to BREAK IT IN WITH THEIR OWN BACK. So, basically, YOUR BACK is making it softer. Of course, it hurts like hell, as she already has issues with her back and a broken hip. The sleepcountry is misrepresenting their product in the store: what you feel - you're not gonna get. Now, they are refusing the return and insist on exchange, which makes no sense as my mom CAN NOT and SHOULD NOT HAVE TO endure pain breaking in a new mattress.
Another consideration is what happens after 4-6 weeks of a "break in"? The mattress becomes softer in places you're lying on it, which is by definition - sagging. And what would prevent the mattress from sagging even more after that? Nothing, it will sag more. And, drumroll, for the warranty to kick in for replacement, it has to sag 3 inches! 3 inches is way too much for someone sleeping on it at that time, so your warranty is useless.
Buyer beware!
Choose another chain or an independent store that actually stands behind their product and has a meaningful RETURN POLICY, because SleepCountry DOES NOT HAVE A MEANINGFUL RETURN POLICY: you can only EXCHANGE it for something as bad.
As of now, my mom is out $1360, no mattress and a lot of back pain.
