Destructive of it's own weight

Mattress is to heavy for it's poor construction. Consider the fact that any mattress needs to be rotated or it will compress. Rotating this mattress is necessary or it will compress. Warranty clearly states it does not cover Handles or exterior covering's. Which I unfortunately missed before making the purchase. Do not attempt to move or rotate by use of the handles. It Will tear the stitching along the sides of the cover and the manufacture will not cover it under warranty. There are equally comfortable mattress with better build quality at equal to lower prices. I write this review to warn those considering this mattress. As this was not something I considered. I expected the handles that are sewn on the sides to be stitched well enough to handle the mattresses weight. They are not your mattress cover will tear. Why would they put handles on the sides incapable of handling the weight of even rotating? If these are not your concerns then by all means this is a fairly comfortable mattress.

Interesting take here, we haven’t had a handle rip in ages. Please send photos to info [at] springair [dot] com for our review along with a photo of the law tag. We would love to see the issues your having as it’s very uncommon.

Only good for 2 years

At first I liked the mattress. My only complaint was that it sleeps hot. After 2 years of use, I could not stand to sleep on it as I always woke with horrible back pain. Sleeping on the floor was more comfortable. It looked very good as I always keep a mattress cover on my mattresses but I am sorry to say, I had to put it out with the trash. I really wanted to like the mattress. This mattress had the shortest life span of any mattress I have ever owned.

Best Mattress Ever

This is the sixth mattress I have owned in the past 7 years and it by far the best mattress I have slept on in a long time. It is very comfortable and helps keep my spine aligned correctly so I experience less pain on waking than I have in the past. (I am 70 years old with degenerative disc disease so lower back pain can be an issue for me.) Also, I have been waking up during the night less frequently than before and I am sleeping longer - averaging 8 hours a night. Before my average sleep was 6 to 7 hours a night. I am so grateful to have found this mattress and will never sleep on any other brand in the future.

Soft and Saggy, Six Year Life

Okay to start with. Developed back pain this year. Mattress sags badly and replacement made a difference. Overnight! It did okay for five years. Valleys developed. Kept it rotated, didn't matter.

Springair latex backsupporter from Costco

Six and a half years and I don't even want to get into bed at night. This mattress has developed the dreaded impressions on each side. I have to get out of bed in the morning as soon as I open my eyes because I ache so bad. So does my spouse. Moving on to another mattress as soon as they can deliver it. Disappointing.

28 years old AND still going strong!!

I know you don't believe me. Mattress & box spring purchased together for $1200. Oct. 1989, San Diego, CA a few months after I got married (divorced 2000). Condition of mattress: fabric is balled and torn on some of the sidewalls. Law tags still attached. NO SAGGING. I work for an independent company that does claims on mattresses and my boss laughed and said "Your mattress will be perfect to practice on, its almost 30 years old." She was shocked, when she saw the pictures. IM SO AFRAID OF BUYING A NEW SET, I KNOW IT WONT BE EVEN CLOSE TO THE QUALITY IVE HAD WITH THIS ONE!

Manufacturer does not stand behind their product.

The mattress became lumpy and the company was unresponsive. After filling out many forms, pictures and several calls we were told they will not honor their warranty.

Horrible experience after purchase

Integrity of Bed virtually broke down within a years time. Feels good for the 1st hour of sleep then it starts to breakdown making a hump in the middle of the bed. I don't ever remember getting a truly good nights sleep on it. Store I bought it from said there was a warranty but wouldn't warranty and we bought the recommended protector from them. They are currently going out of business (no surprise there).

Sleeping in a hammock

We purchases two twin mattresses for our king sized bed in the summer of 2016. We complained several times and they sent someone out but by the time they arrived it didn't measure 1 1/2 inches. But they did switch it out for SpringAir Apollo mattresses. We have had them about 3 months and you can see our body impressions in the mattresses each and every day. We flip and rotate the mattresses every week. I called the place where we purchased and they said there wasn't any more they could do. 1600 dollars is a lot of money for someone on SS and it is unfortunate that we were dumb enough to purchase this brand.

Worst mattress I have ever owned

I purchased a Spring Air mattress about 5 years ago and it has been replaced 3 times already. It starts out feeling great but as time goes on, it starts to sag and you feel like you are sleeping in a hole. I am 5 feet tall and weigh 130 pounds. My husband is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. We are not obese people! We turn the mattress about once a month. I specifically chose the back support mattress because I have had 2 back surgeries. Now the third mattress is doing the same thing. Also, every time the store replaces the mattress for a new one, I don't get a new warranty. They say the warrant goes back to the first mattress I purchased from them. I will NEVER purchase anything from this store again and wish I had never made the first purchase from them. They won't refund my money so I am stuck with this ongoing problem. The best mattress I ever owned was a Serta and I wish I had it now. I am disgusted!
