Sleeping on lumps and valleys

We use this mattress 6 months of the year and have already asked for it to be inspected once after 3 yrs while under warranty because the pillow top is so uneven and lumpy where we sleep. The gentleman who inspected said it met the criteria to be replaced but then I never heard from Rooms to Go again. When I called to see when they would be replacing it they said it did not meet the criteria. Now, another 3 years later I can no longer use this mattress but have read so many negative things about warranty and proration I feel it unless to ask for another inspection. However, I wanted to review this mattress, the Woodcrest, and say I am definitely not happy with it. While it looks like a new mattress its miserable because the middle is high and the sides where we sleep are low and lumpy. For what we paid for it at Rooms to Go this mattress should have lasted way past its 10 yr warranty.

didn't last

The mattress started out comfortable. But after about two years it started sagging on the edge, the side where I get on and off the bed. By year three the edge was totally smooshed down, with a big dip from the middle to that side. The only sleep-able surface is on the side next to the wall. I have never owned a mattress that did this. I mean the whole side is caved in. Maybe you could expect this kind of wear and tear on a ten year old mattress but not on one less than four years old. Trying to get warranty info is useless they just shove you back and forth between the manufacture and the place you by it. I gave up and just started looking for a new mattress.

was comfortable at first, but started sagging after 2 weeks

I thought it would retain it's shape longer. It lost it's memory. Amnesia I guess. I have lots of back and neck problems. This is not going to work.

Never buying again

For a high quality name and price I expected something to last more than two years. After the first six months this has only been getting worse. A cheaper mattress was better than this. Going back to a Sealy... Bye serta.

Don't waste your money!!!

The first mattress I bought at Sears was horrible and they made me keep it for a full 90 days before I could switch it. The sales person went on about how great the iComfort Prodogy Everfeel was so I paid the extra money for it. It was fine for the first year. I've now had it almost 15 months. I started noticing about a month ago that I was in constant pain when I got out of bed. At first I blamed it on my age and on my work outs, not thinking for a minute it could be the mattress. Now I realize its the mattress. The foam has gotten so soft it no longer supports my body. I weigh 150lbs and my boyfriend weighs 200lbs so the problem is not our weight. There is no visible sagging so Sears says the manufacturer can't help me. They made me buy their box spring and mattress pad to honor their warranty but there is still nothing they'll do for me. $2300 for a mattress that lasted one year is ludicrous. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this mattress. I wish I'd read the reviews before I bought it.

Help! Pillowtop and springs have given up!!!

Wanted for years to get a Serta mattress and this has been a huge disappointment. The pillowtop has rolled up in places and the springs under our backsides feel like they have collapsed. This keeps you from being able to sleep comfortably for any long period of time. Neither of us are large people ( I weigh 183 and my wife about 150) so there is no reason for what has happened to this mattress. Has anyone else had this problem?

Do not purchase!

This mattress has given us a problem from the start. The pillow top shifts so that one side hangs over. I've had to rotate the mattress and reshape it. Now I have flipped it over to see if I can get a decent night sleep from the underside. This is the worst mattress I have ever purchased.

We're sorry to hear of your frustration. However, this mattress is not meant to flipped. Regular rotation does help with even wear. If you're still experiencing discomfort, we would recommend reaching out to your retailer for assistance.

We're sorry to hear of your frustration. If heat build up is an issue for you, we suggest looking at the top of bed items that you are using (sheets, pillows etc.) to make sure that these are made from breathable fabrics. You may want to look at our iComfort brand sheets and pillows which are designed to promote airflow and reduce heat build up. There are many other factors that can contribute to heat build up at night, including room temperature and sleep clothing.
