sleep train

  • Selection: Good
  • Expertise: Fair
  • Service: Good
Pros:
it was a few years ago now, but i definitely negotiated the price down from the ticket. i think that's pretty standard at places like sleep train, but it still makes you feel better about the purchase. again, pretty standard at similar retailers, but they deliver very quickly and remove your old bed.

Cons:
it's not the nicest shopping experience based on the store environment, but that's what you get when you are shopping for value.

i was really hesitant to spend so much money on a bed, so i went back a few times and kept trying out the bed i eventually bought. i was worried that it wouldn't get worn in and would be too stiff or it would get too worn in and be too soft. it's so hard to tell from a floor model. the sales person was really patient with me and all my questions and helped steer me to the right bed. i also kept going back and forth between sleep train and 1800mattress a few blocks down. in speaking to salespeople in both stores, the sleep train guy was less salespitchy and more helpful.
