We had a terrible customer service experience from the owner of Metro Mattress in Buford. We purchased a mattress after having spent at least 2 hours trying mattresses in the store. We thought it was the perfect mattress for us. When we received it, however, it did not feel at all like the mattress we laid on in the store. So we exchanged that one for a more expensive one, paying the difference. We again spent at least 2 hours in the store trying out mattresses. The same thing happened with this mattress - it did not feel the same as it did in the store. This store is either baiting and switching mattresses upon delivery or the mattresses on display in the store are all worn out (we were looking for a soft mattress). Unbelievably, the owner wouldn’t even consider working with us towards a viable solution. We even asked if we could pay a restocking fee and receive the difference. We understood that all sales were final. However, we believe that we were not provided with the mattresses we had purchased. The owner’s friendly demeanor quickly turned hostile when we questioned him about it. He did nothing to help us out except to tell us to put a mattress topper on top of it. It’s a new mattress - why should we have to do that? The mattress also has a huge ridge in the middle of it. So now we’re stuck with a $2,700 mattress that we can’t use. If you insist on doing business with this company, don’t buy a Kingsdown mattress. They are of inferior quality, in our opinion, for how much they cost. The first mattress we had (a Sealy) felt somewhat better than the Kingsdown plus it was $1,000 cheaper.
