I was misled by the salesman who knew I was trying to decide between two mattresses, which were $1,000 difference in price, because he said I could exchange for the other one if I wanted to. He claims he made it clear that I would still have to pay the full price of the first one if I exchanged it but he DID NOT. I understand that’s in the fine print but an honest salesman would have made it very clear. Also, he and the regional manager both told me that returned mattresses can NOT be resold and have to be donated to charity. When I realized my second mattress choice was even worse than the first (the lesser of two evils), I called to ask if I could get the other one back and I was told it had already been sold (within a few days) so I caught them in a lie. When he realized what he had said, he then claimed they can be sold at a discount. That’s NOT what I was told originally. I believe they’re selling returned mattresses as new and not losing any money on them. I can’t prove they’re doing that but they lied about reselling them and they were sneaky about the exchange process. I also paid for a VERY expensive mattress protector and barely slept in the beds in the short time I had them so they could easily be sold as new. I think they were concerned about lying to me so I got a call a couple days later letting me know they had another mattress, just like my original one, that I could have. It seemed suspicious to me that they found another one of the exact same (returned/used) mattress so quickly. For medical reasons, due to a Rx drug that greatly affected my ability to think clearly at the time, I made a terrible mistake and now I’m paying for it physically and financially. My back pain is the worst it’s ever been and I don’t have that problem when I sleep on a 30 year old inner spring mattress at a friend’s house. In this case, you DO NOT get what you pay for. I do NOT trust anyone at this company and I’m extremely upset about the thought of paying so much money for a mattress that I absolutely hate.
