Delivery Service

Posted by Bob from Winfield, KS on June 12, 2019

The owner was friendly and knowledgeable about the furniture, which we bought locally out of time constraint needs, even though it was overpriced compared to online alternatives. The delivery was a NIGHTMARE. The two employees had little to no respect for the house, damaging walls, woodwork and hanging pictures. Their attitude was the kind you don't want to represent your business. They were informed before the delivery that they would be required to move the furniture to the 2nd floor, however they made it verbally clear (while cursing) that they "weren't paid enough for this *expletive*" and that "this *expletive* pisses them off". They offered no apologies and even expected the only (injured) adult to help them, regardless of the fact that they were local college football players. Two follow up calls to the owner/operator of the store resulted in nothing more than a shrug and an "I'll talk to them, but I've never had any complaints before."
You might think that means we're overreacting, but I've ran a business before and hired, trained and fired people and know what should be expected of your employees. The owner of this business does not care about your satisfaction, home or possessions, just your money.
What ever happened to "the customer is always right?" This is why like many others, they will be put out of business by Amazon. If you don't care enough to provide quality service, no one will pay that extra bit to support a local business and you will fade into obscurity with the rest of the you deserve to.
