I looked at mattresses for 3 months. I recently had neck surgery and needed a new mattress. Needless to say, money was not an issue. I looked at mattresses in a box to Beautyrest Black. I was pretty much sold on Beautyrest until I laid on the Haven mattress at Havertys. Its their brand. It was absolutely phenomenal. My wife took a pic of me laying on my side and my spine was perfectly aligned. I am a side sleeper, 6', 225 pounds. Its soft yet supportive. Gives great pressure relief. Its memory foam over coils. But the memory foam is more responsive then the memory foam you're thinking of (no sinking in feeling). Its reinforced in the middle third of the mattress to support your hips (your heaviest body part). And I feel that is the reason my spine is perfectly aligned when I am on my side. Go try this mattress. Its great.
