This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. RUN AWAY FROM THIS STORE IF YOU CAN. Their deals are crap, they are liars and are just a big waste of time and energy and MONEY. The product came damaged and it arrived in pieces over a process of 10 months. Is that normal? I don’t think so. If that was the case and I knew they were going to send me bits and pieces every month or every 2 months, I would’ve went back to college and got a degree to build my own bedroom set. They wasted every inch of my energy and time negotiating and going back and forth with them. ALSO!!!! When I wanted to cancel my order because of their delay in shipping, they wanted to charge me $400. Who do you guys think you are? Nobody wants your crappy bedroom set anyways. I will spread the word forever. Every single day I will make sure no one I know comes and shops here. I am a business owner and have dealt with this and more. I have never came across such a crappy company in my life. I MISS ART VAN!!!!!

Very sorry to hear you have dealt with a situation that isn't ideal and not normal, but has been upsettingly common place in the world in the past 2 years. We've been working on systems improvements to avoid these situations because this is NOT the customer experience we want for ANYONE. The charge you speak of sounds like it has to do with the return fee, and not a cancellation fee. This is something our Customer Care team can look into further at ce(at)gardner-white(dot)com.
And our current workforce at every level of the company is currently filled with a significant amount of folks who came to us after the closing of Art Van. We are all working on making things better in the face of a global supply chain disruption as a new team ^_~
